TN's Best of the Best: '25 Guards(Part 3)

The 5'6 wing put up some big time numbers for a sneaky good Greeneville team in her junior season. The Lady Vol softball commit averaged 15 points and 5 rebounds a game. She's excellent from the midrange and in. She's an instinctual scorer that simply finds ways to get baskets. Plays really well off two feet. Great competitive spirit. Plays bigger than she is.     Perry finds herself in a big-time role for this years Knox Catholic team after providing energy off the bench last season. She's a fantastic on the ball defender, and understands help principle off the ball. Really active hands. She plays bigger than she is, and is willing to do the dirty work. Wins 50/50 balls. The ball rarely sticks in her hands. She knows the value of quick decision. Nice finisher at the rim.       Fun kid to watch. Really gets after it on both ends. Offensively, is really tough when she's able to beat the initial defender and get into the paint. Has the whole bag of finishes, and is especially tough with her right hand. Has developed as a playmaker and is making the right reads as a passer. Disruptive on the ball defender that uses her length and athleticism well. Still unsigned and primed for a big time senior year.     Smith is a big time shooter that understands her role well for Cleveland. Moves well off the ball. Understands the nuances of finding the "soft spots" vs a zone. Averaged nearly 10 points a game last year, and made great strides in her playmaking attacking bad closeouts. Hit 55 threes at 38%, and that number will go up. Capable of getting hot and having a 20 point night.Other teams know her as a shooter, and she's taking advantage. Improving as a passer. Plays bigger than she is on defense. Rebounds really well for her position.     The 5'11 wing has signed with Lipscomb, and is primed for a huge senior season at Coffee. Plays with other D1 kids, and understands how to survive in this type of ecosystem. Understands how to play off the ball. Can score it on all three levels. Really nice cutter. Crashes the glass well and knows how to use her length. Very good defender. Averaged 14 and 4.     The former district MVP came on strong at the end of the season, and should be back to her former ways for her senior year. She has high level athleticism and strength. Offensively, is really dangerous once her shoulders get past the initial defender. High level scorer in the paint. Still developing a shooter, but has come a long way. Really good defender that can guard multiple positions. Great rebounder.
