A couple of weeks ago, we released the updated rankings for the Class of 2027. With 125 players now either ranked in our Top 50 or a part of our 75-person watch list in 2027, I wanted to take the time to highlight a few girls from each position group. Below is a look at the post players and the 11 ladies included in this specific group, followed by some analysis on a handful of those prospects.

Adah is a rising star for the Arabians. She averaged a double-double as a rookie (10.6 points, 11.3 rebounds), and she's looking to be even more complete as a Sophomore. She has good size, a strong frame, and she is physical and aggressive around the rim. At the same time, she has nice touch in the mid-post, plus she can knock down the occasional 3-pointer. Her ability to pick-and-pop or roll makes her an incredibly tough matchup. Defensively, she's a deterrent in the paint, but she could play a little lower/quicker in ball screen situations.

Giniya is still somewhat under the radar on a statewide level, but she is a nice talent who will draw a lot more interest in the future. She already possesses one Division-I offer, as she is long, wiry-strong, somewhat bouncy, plus she rim-runs very well. She is a nice defender/rebounder type around the lane, and she's willing to be physical. Additionally, she is starting to build a nice mid-post game, and she does have some back-to-the-basket moves as well. With a little more polish to her skillet, she could become a problem.

Ivy is one of the taller post players in the state, regardless of class. She has broad shoulders and a lot of upper body strength, but she also has length in her arms and legs. She plays hard, is physical and assertive inside, but as she learns how to play lower and drive opponents, it should really help her at both ends of the floor. She does have some touch from 15-feet as well. In the meantime, after seeing a little time as a Freshman, she should be one of the focal points moving forward on a rather young and inexperienced Lady Bulldog team.

I saw Erika for the first time this Fall, and she is definitely an intriguing frontline prospect who could immediately help Avon and eventually help a college program down the road. She has a wiry-strong, athletic frame, really nice length, and she runs the floor well North/South, plus she has a little bounce in her. I still need to see a bit more of her from a skill standpoint, but in the brief time I have seen her, she at least looks confident/comfortable at all three levels. She could carve out a big opportunity for herself this year with the Orioles.

I first saw Riley during the Spring, and she is incredibly intriguing. She has nice length, a developing frame that should get stronger and possibly still add another inch or two, plus she already plays with physicality and doesn't shy away from contact. She looks most comfortable around the block, but she does extend herself to the short corners and the mid-post, often knocking down a 12 to 15-foot jump-shot. She moves well in most directions, plus she rim-runs hard. I feel like she has a lot of potential and is just scratching the surface.
