A lot of times when July rolls around, a few kids have already committed in the rising Senior class, so colleges begin to pivot and explore other options. Well, with Ivy being 6-4, I feel like she’ll draw a lot of onlookers who will see her height on the roster and they’ll want to explore what she can do on the court. Ivy has a big, strong frame, but she also has some length to her. She has good hands, she’s put in the time assembling a nice array of post moves, plus she has some touch facing the basket. A determined July out of her could see her interest rise very quickly.

provides exactly that for Crown Point. The talented center has continued developing her post game while establishing herself as a force around the basket.
Henderson impacts games with her rebounding, shot-altering ability, and physical presence in the paint. She does an excellent job securing extra possessions and protecting the rim, giving Crown Point a reliable anchor on the defensive end. Offensively, she continues to expand her skill set and shows promising touch around the basket.
As June competition begins, Henderson will be one of the key players to watch among Indiana’s young post prospects. Her ability to control the paint on both ends of the floor could make her a major difference-maker for Crown Point throughout the summer.
Ivy has always been a bigger post among her peers, and she can be a matchup problem at times because of her size and strength. She plays tall, keeps the ball high, and she tends to make things a lot easier around the rim because of it. Where a college program can likely help her is in building more core strength, so she can play more physical while maintaining balance and not picking up fouls. She could become almost unstoppable inside, and she has some face-up skill outside, that she could be a real problem for all comers.
I’ve been watching Ivy since 7th Grade, and she was already around 6-1 at that point in time. She is a strong, physical, broad-shouldered true post who does a nice job of playing “big”. She has really nice length in her arms and legs, and she does a great job of catching and keeping the ball high when she possesses it. She will keep it simple, too, and just finish over smaller defenders, but she has some post skill, half hooks, etc., if she ever runs into someone else her size. She has shown some touch to about 15-feet as well. Defensively, she is a presence in the paint, she will pursue rebounds, and she’ll alter shots.
Give this kid the rock! At 6’4, Ivy establishes her ground in the paint and owns it! Hands are ready to either catch and shoot, or rebound and defend! Coaches- she needs to be on your radar!
Ivy is another sizeable post presence in this 2027 class who has sort of taken off this Spring. She has a broad frame, nice strength, and she is more than willing to be physical with it. She does a great job of keeping the ball high on the catch and on offensive rebounds, and she has nice touch from the position to be able to finish inside of about 8-feet. For her, it will be a matter of learning how to play lower and wider in her frame, especially defensively.
Ivy is one of the taller post players in the state, regardless of class. She has broad shoulders and a lot of upper body strength, but she also has length in her arms and legs. She plays hard, is physical and assertive inside, but as she learns how to play lower and drive opponents, it should really help her at both ends of the floor. She does have some touch from 15-feet as well. In the meantime, after seeing a little time as a Freshman, she should be one of the focal points moving forward on a rather young and inexperienced Lady Bulldog team.
