[player_tooltip player_id='633535' first='Alex' last='Gross'] (Cover photo - Right) is one of the most under-the-radar guards in the State of Florida, but her talent is undeniable. Gross will be one of the key factors on her team as she is a player who can impact the game in a lot of ways. She can shoot the ball especially when she gets in a roll. She had 8 threes in one game last season. That's literally unheard of her. Gross is a player who can rise to the occasion. She has speed and athleticism and is a two-way player who affects both sides of the ball. She can stay in front of speedy guards and keep them from penetrating and breaking the defense down. Gross has quick feet, active hands, and plays the passing lanes. That equals a lot of steals. Lastly, Gross is a playmaker and could easily lead her team in assists and steals.
She will play a huge part in the success of her team and impact the game in various ways.

[player_tooltip player_id='221646' first='Terrannya' last='Medlock'] (Covert Photo - Left) is another versatile player who can do multiple things on a basketball court. She can play on the perimeter and can also play close to the basket. She is at her best facing the basket, whether around the area or on the perimeter on the elbow. has a nice three-point shot that she can hit consistently she can drive to the rim and get baskets. She's very good in the transition game and can handle the ball coast or finish after taking a pass on the break. This will be her fourth year and she's played in many meaningful games. This year her team should be one of the favorites to get past the district and regional playoffs.

[player_tooltip player_id='346853' first='Janai' last='Jordan'] (Middle Right) stopped by Media Day and what comes to mind is her visit last year as a Junior. She was confident that her Junior season would be an end epic journey that would end up in Lakeland. The season they will be favored to get there again. Jordan is one of the top guards in the 2026 class. This year she is equally confident and I look to see her in Lakeland again. Jordan has a great feel for the game and just knows how to put the ball in the basket. She is lights out from behind the arc, and she can get her shot off anytime she wants to with her effective, hesitations, crossovers, and explosive moves to the basket to the basket. Jordan can also rip to the mid range shot as well. She takes what the defense gives her and does more giving than taking. She is one of the top guards and the top guards in the 2025 class.

[player_tooltip player_id='430261' first='Janie' last='Boyd'] (Middle Left) stopped by with the Providence teammates and again reiterated that the goal is once again to get to Lakeland for some unfinished business,. Board is one of the leaders of the Providence team and her energy on the court is infectious. She is very savvy on the basketball court and has a very high basketball IQ. She creates scoring opportunities from anywhere on the floor by knowing the game and understanding game situations. She knows how to draw fouls and get to the free throw line. Boyd is a prolific three point shooter, and uses that ability to get to the rim and rip to midrange shots against over- aggressive defenses.

[player_tooltip player_id='860613' first='Abby' last='Baker'] (Far Left ) dropped by and showed quiet confidence. Baker was a major role player last season, playing with Coyle and Roundtree, and this year she will be called on to lead on and off the court. Baker has nice size and she does not back down from a challenge. She rebounds well and does a good job of defending the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id='932241' first='Lola' last='Goodwin'] (Mid Left) showed some nice things over the summer. Goodwin can handle the ball and does a good job of getting her team into their offensive sets. She can score from behind the three-point line and can also get to the rim. Goodwin is a tough-nosed defensive player who doesn't back down from competition. One of the three seniors on the team, Goodwin, does a good job of leading by example. Her energy and effort will inspire her young teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='434835' first='Reese' last='Mayer'] (Mid Right) played extremely well last year and was the player who handled the point guard duties and played well in a lot of big games. She was a playmaker who got the ball to all of her weapons. She was instrumental in making it to the Championship game in the State Finals. Mayer can get to the rim, score in the midrange area and shoot the three. Reese has very good speed and does a good job of scoring in transition and getting to the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='1039026' first='Lavin' last='Savage'] (Mid Right). is one of the toughest defensive guards on the First Coast. Savage has continued to improve her game, becoming a playmaker on both sides of the court. Savage applies great on ball pressure on the defensive end, and she puts pressure on the defense with her ability to get to the rim. She has great speed on the floor and it's her speed that sets her up for success. It also sets her teammates up as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='746624' first='Leandrea' last='McCloud'] (Right) was also in the building and she is primed for a very big season. McCloud has all of the tools to be a candidate for player of the year in her division. She is that talented. She can score around the rim and also shoot the short jumper. She controls the paint on defense and is a threat to block every shot attempted in the paint. She is a force on the glass and in the paint and is a double-double machine. McCloud will be inspired this season and is only 228 points from reaching 1000 points for her career
