Here is a look at the new top ten ranked athletes in the Kansas Class of 2027.

[player_tooltip player_id='671505' first='Maddie' last='Vickery'], 6'1”, PF, Washburn Rural, ‘27

Vickery moved up one slot in the rankings and is now ranked No. 1 overall in the Kansas Class of 2027. She eats and sleeps basketball. I am not sure I have ever met a teenager so committed to her craft. She has been busy this offseason collecting college offers. An abbreviated list of schools she has offers from includes; Texas Christian, Colorado, Wisconsin, Kansas State, and Missouri.

[player_tooltip player_id='723402' first='Taylor' last='McCarty'], 5'9”, SF, Cheylin, ‘27

McCarty is the big rankings climber this time around. She is now ranked No. 2 overall after previously being ranked No. 18 overall. McCarty's numbers are just too impressive to not notice. She scored 23.8 points per game and averaged 10 rebounds per game as a sophomore. She is one of the few players in the state who averaged a double-double over the course of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='635331' first='Finley' last='LeMay'], 5'10”, PG, Bishop Miege, ‘27

Lemay moved up seven slots in the standings from No. 10 to No. 3 overall. She has also had a busy offseason making unofficial college visits and collecting college offers. She is a long guard who runs the floor well. Her size as a point guard is what sets her apart from the pack. She has an offer from Utah Tech in hand.

[player_tooltip player_id='779208' first='Zoey' last='Buckner-Franklin'], 5'6”, PG, Kapaun Mt. Carmel, ‘27

Buckner-Franklins is currently ranked No. 4 overall. She was previously ranked No. 29. She can score from three levels and averaged 20.7 points per game as a freshman. She has the ability to push the pace of the game and find open shooters. She averaged over four assists per contest last season for Kapaun.

[player_tooltip player_id='672683' first='Eve' last='Long'], 6'3”, PF, Olathe South, ‘27

Long is currently ranked No. 5 overall after previously being in the top spot. She is a gifted athlete who can rebound, defend, and put the ball in the bucket. Olathe South did not post stat publicly on Max Preps and her recruitment is not as far along as some of her peers. I hope I get to catch her and the Falcons play at some point this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='884867' first='Pearmella' last='Carter'], 5'10”, PF, Highland Park, ‘27

Carter is now ranked No. 6 overall by Prep Girls Hoops. She averaged a double-double during her freshman season for the Scotties. She scored 18.1 points per game and 10.2 rebounds per contest. The Highland Park prospect is a difference-maker in the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id='791747' first='Bella' last='Bouddhara'], 5'5”, PG, Andover, ‘27

Bouddhara is ranked No. 7 overall after previously being ranked No. 15. She is one of my favorite defenders in this class. I saw Andover play last season and the Trojans did not need her to score much although she did chip in 6-plus points per game.

[player_tooltip player_id='845983' first='Ahsieyrhuajh' last='Rayton'], 5'8”, CG, Topeka, ‘27

Rayton is ranked No. 8 overall. She is a multiple-sport athlete who excels as a jumper on Topeka High's track and field team. She moves well and is a plus defender. Rayton plays for an elite club team which will help with her recruitment.

[player_tooltip player_id='836263' first='Cami' last='Nauholz'], 6'2”, PF, Lawrence, ‘27

Nauholz is ranked No. 9 overall in the new rankings. She is a top rebounder and has a big reach. She understands how to use space and her physicality to get the ball and score with it. Her role with the Lions will continue to evolve and she should be looked to score more.

[player_tooltip player_id='729411' first='Ruth' last='Gipson'], 6'1”, PF, Shawnee Mission Northwest, ‘27

Shawnee Mission Northwest's Gipson rounds out the top ten. She was previously ranked No. 4 overall. She has a big reach and scores from three levels. She has a nice shot from 3-point range and plays solid man-to-man defense.
