Dallas Center - Grimes is going to return this Winter after a State Tournament trip, looking for their identity in the production category. Their leader from years past is gone due to gradation so they will have a lot of opportunity and someone that I expect to make the most of those chances is [player_tooltip player_id='342185' first='Devon' last='Carlile'] at the guard position. Carlile transferred over moving into last Winter and she did a little bit of everything for her team, at a thorough rate throughout. She scored with easy takes to the bucket, she knocked down jumpers at Will, she rebounded on both sides of the floor, she created steals in the half court, all while playing solid defense. I think this Winter could be her best season to date if she is motivated enough. This team has 5-6 players that could of taken this spot but if Carlile builds on her numbers from the past, she will be one of their "Top Dawgs" in the production department by the end of her Senior year.

During the off-season, [player_tooltip player_id='795874' first='LJ' last='Maehl'] picked up her first big college offer to D2 - Truman State out of Missouri. Following this happening, Maehl will return to Fort Dodge High School, looking to build on the career she has set in place thus far. This is a prospect that stands at 6'0, she has great footwork and coordination, she is a positive influence that understands her strengths, and she has a versatile play-style that could translate to the next level. This Winter LJ is going to be Vital to her team's success in the long run. If she plays well, they will play well as a team. Plain and simple.

This Winter is the season that [player_tooltip player_id='993993' first='Anna' last='Latham'] of Mason City could spread her wings and really take over as the leader for her Riverhawks program. Latham stepped onto the Varsity floor as Freshman and did a solid job of holding her own. She was a top three producer on her team at the end of the season in a few categories because of her mixture of a high motor, effort, and basic skill. Latham really is going to have chance to show out as a top prospect in her conference this season as well if she does things correctly and takes her time. That's why she falls into this spot moving forward.

Burlington High School is going to have some impressive years ahead of them as long as they come prepared each and every game. Someone that has been consistent for them for a few years now and who will be looked at for a ton of their production will be PG - [player_tooltip player_id='672168' first='Mylee' last='Stiefel']. Stiefel usually kills her competition because of her nice handle, her patience coming down the floor, and her knowledge of when to do what on both sides of the ball. Her progression over the past two seasons has been solid and she has been working in her off-season so I'm sure that trend will continue over these next few months.

[player_tooltip player_id='1005087' first='Brooke' last='Larsen'] of Lewis Central High School might be college committed to SDSU for her future on the Volleyball court but I think that just shows how athletic she really is. Larsen has been the heartbeat for her Varsity program for years now and this Winter won't be any different. Her size, athletic ability, and opportunity is going to lead her to have solid numbers by the time that this season comes to a close. She is a dominant force within her conference and that will continue on until this year finishes out.

Saying [player_tooltip player_id='311370' first='Bailey' last='Birmingham'] is vital to her team this next six month might be an understatement. Birmingham was a main producer throughout the state last Winter and she is primed to have an even better season after committing to Northwestern Missouri State to follow her Senior season. This is a competitor that knows what it means to leave it all on the floor, she plays with a chip on her shoulder, and she competes with a calculated aggression that leads to a whole lot of buckets. She is going to have to some stars around her this Winter as well but they are going to go as far as Birmingham can take them in the end.

[player_tooltip player_id='1055340' first='Allison' last='Moeller'] is a talent that might find herself at the collegiate level at the end of the day if she gets in front of the right eyes and those are her ambitions. Moeller competes with North Scott at the CG position and she moves well for her size at 5'10. From what I've noticed, she has active hands, great side-to-side movement, a better than average motor, and an act for being in the right place at the right time. Not to mention, she is vocal and one of the first to step up for her teammates. This Winter it's Moeller's team by the looks of it. She will have help but she will return as the player that everyone looks up to and that should inspire her more than anything else.
