Week One: 2027 Standouts From Around the State

The super Sophomore averaged 16 points per game and 13 rebounds per game in the first week of play. Mignery has added another element to her game - the three-point shot. Watts connected on the three, scored in transition, and got to the rim. Watts averaged 22 points per game and scored in a variety of ways, Watts shot the three ball from all over the court, and what's more impressive about her three-point shooting is her ability to shoot the three off the catch or create the shot with a side step, step back, or stop and pop. Watts also had some exciting plays on the defensive end. Watts does a good job of playing the passing lanes and scoring in transition with both hands. . DesJarlais mixes it up on the inside but does contribute out on the perimeter as well. DesJarlais stepped out of the paint and knocked down several three-pointers. DesJarlais contributes in a lot of ways, including in the assist department. The young guard has great court vision and does a good job of getting the ball to her teammate. Iturralde does a good job of pushing the ball up the court with vertical passes. Norman had at least four threes in the first half and finished with about 5 or 6 for the game. Every time it left her hands, it looked like it was "money." Evans got to the rim on offense and was dynamic in the transition game. Evans has great speed and athleticism and thrives in the open court. Evans was also special on the offensive end, knocking down 4 threes.
