The five individuals below have shown over their time on the floor that they all each possess college level talent, that could make waves with a program at that level, once their high school career's come to an end.

Continuing her dominance at the #1 spot for the 2027 Class, we have 6'2 Power Forward - [player_tooltip player_id='747245' first='Addison' last='Medeck'] of PLVS High School and ETG Midwest [program_tooltip program_id='713325' first='Elite' last=''] 3SSB. Medeck is currently sidelined after coming off of a surgery in the Fall but from what I'm hearing, she is either practicing already or back to the point to start practicing once again. Medeck keeps this top spot for a few reasons. First - her physical nature and size. She is a dominant force, that is a lot to handle in a half court setting. Second - she is the only 2027 prospect out of this state with multiple Division-1 offers. Third - If she progresses steadily over the next three years on the Varsity floor. She is going to continue to be a state leader in PPG, RPG, and BPG. So if you take into consideration all these factors and that Medeck passes the eye test when you watch her live-in-person, you start to realize what's really going on here.

This is a major season for everyone out of the 2027 Class in my opinion. Someone I'm expecting to handle her own and take her game to a whole other level is [player_tooltip player_id='753080' first='Mollie' last='Probasco'] of Elkhorn South High School. Probasco has a unique mixture of length and skill. She is a natural guard, that has reach and she understands how to create her own on both sides of the ball. As a Freshman, Probasco led the Storm with some pretty impressive numbers. She has been working this off-season and doing things the right way so as long as the others around her came prepared, they should be in for a Winter to remember. As for now, Probasco holds onto this #2 spot moving into the new year.

[player_tooltip player_id='751925' first='T'Niyah' last='Wilson-Smith']. A smooth guard, that can shoot the ball from deep distances at an extremely high rate. Wilson-Smith's game is deceiving. She might not come off like it in warm ups but this is a walking bucket offensively, while being a risk taker on the defensive side of the floor. There are pros and cons to how Wilson-Smith competes but at the end of the day, you have to respect it. She puts up really good numbers, her skill is obviously there, and she is willing to make the extra pass in some big moments - speaking to her unselfishness at times. All this has led to a respectable start for Wilson up until this point.

I would say that this is the season that we find out a lot about [player_tooltip player_id='719887' first='KayTee' last='Irons'] and what she can actually bring to the floor. Irons is coming off of a Freshman season at Lincoln North Star in which she helped lead her Varsity program to the State Tournament. Following this Irons transferred to Lincoln Southwest, so now it's time to see if her play-style translates to this new program. A program that is not new to having specular guard play at the PG position. If Irons can come on board and be just as good, that proves a lot to me and everyone else that is monitoring her situation. Either way, at the end of the day this is a college level prospect. Now it's just figuring out at which level.

[player_tooltip player_id='865481' first='Gigi' last='Owens'] of Lincoln High should be used this year at the 1, 2 and 3 positions for her Varsity program. Owens, a 6'0 PG, has the potential to take the state by storm over this next three seasons if she really wants to. The reach, athletic ability, and competitive demeanor that Owens possesses is second-to-none of the high school could within the state of Nebraska. She just needs to play with that confidence and the coaching staff has to trust in her to lead them. If those two things can be accomplished, everyone is going to really take things to the next level.
