[player_tooltip player_id='1096631' first='Adriana' last='Brown']

Adriana provided much needed offense for Marion. She started off with a strong drive and finish through contact at the rim for her first points of the game. She caught fire from deep in the third and hit back-to-back triples showing off her catch-and-shoot range. Adriana followed that with another tough layup with contact on the break in the fourth quarter that kept the game close.

[player_tooltip player_id='885342' first='Mya' last='Scott']

Mya had her fingerprints all over this one and led the charge for the Lady Knights. She is a strong lefty-guard who impacts the game in so many different ways. Mya loves to get the ball and go! She was at her best getting downhill and is very hard to stop once she has a full head-of-steam. Her perimeter defense stood out to me, as well as her effort on the boards, and ability to get her teammates in the mix. She is one to watch for in the 5th region.

Kyra made her presence felt on the both sides of the court. She did a good job drawing contact off the dribble and made multiple trips to the free throw line. Kyra had her hand in the cookie jar and came away with several steals that led to easy buckets the other way.

[player_tooltip player_id='1096633' first='Patience' last='Staples']

Patience is tall and has really long arms. She is a versatile defender who can guard the post and perimeter. She rebounded ball well on both ends, made good passes, and showed a nice touch from the mid-range in the second half.

Makayla did whatever was necessary for her team to win. She created contact off the dribble and made the most of her free throw opportunities. She came up with a steal, displayed a soft touch on a floater, and made a terrific feed to the post for an assist.

Believe me when I say that the future is bright for this 8th grader [player_tooltip player_id='879588' first='Crista' last='Thacker']She opened the game with a nice backdoor cut and score, then got the shooters roll on a 3-ball from the corner, and hit another one from the wing in the second quarter. She can really fill it up! Crista was scrappy on defense and I really liked the way she boxed out and fought hard for rebounds. She set the tone for the Lady Bulldogs and probably would have done way more damage if it wasn't for earlier foul trouble.

[player_tooltip player_id='1096702' first='Chloe' last='Longwell']

Chloe has great size and length for a lead guard. She played under control and knows how to orchestrate the offense. She can handle the ball, sees the floor well and makes crisp passes to put her teammates in position to score. Chloe used active hands on defense, and made good use of the glass on a floater in the second half.

I really liked how aggressive Tatum was on offense. She made a relentless effort to get the basket and the bulk of her points came at the free throw line. Tatum did a great job defending the post, cleaned the glass, and came up with a clutch steal and finish that sealed the deal in the fourth quarter.

LaRue County handled the full-court pressure well, using passes to break the press instead of dribbling through it. John Hardin's up-tempo style offense allowed them to score points in a hurry, and create a 14-point lead going into the half. LaRue County woke up in the third quarter and brought the game to a 9-point deficit entering the fourth quarter after being down 19 points. LaRue County showed heart on their home-court but could not keep the game in reach.

Charlotte rebounded the ball well and made the most of her put-back opportunities. She made really good passes to cutters and on the break. I recall her coming away with a steal then scored on back-to-back possessions in the second quarter. She also got a basket and the foul in the third and a game-clinching steal in the fourth.

Lillian's explosive first-step and handles allowed her to get any where she wanted off the bounce. She dropped dimes in transition, played lock-down defense, and made difficult shots look easy inside. I like the way she shot with confidence from deep, and her ability to come down with rebounds over taller players. She is very exciting to watch and is a young prospect to track going forward.

I really like what I saw from Caroline in this game. She made an impact defensively with a deflection, followed by a block and steal. She got going on offense in the second half and made a pretty turn-around paint jumper along with two triples, including a dagger in the fourth quarter that put her team up by nine points with 3:09 left to go.

Ellah was active on the glass early and handled the press well finding an open teammate for the first points of the game. She came alive in the the third quarter and scored 8 of her 15 points, including back-to-back threes. Loved her effort on the boards and leadership on the floor!

Maxie looked poised running the point and made smart decisions with the ball in her hands. She was disruptive on defense, boxed out well, and scored a bunch of points in transition. Maxie also hit a much needed 3-pointers then made a reverse layup in the second half along with a tough bucket through contact in the fourth quarter that made the score 36-41 with 6:48 left in the game.
