Here's a breakdown of the players who are making an impact for their teams this season.    Junior [player_tooltip player_id='457866' first='Teagan' last='Schoenecker'] is an excellent shooter who can score at all three levels. What stood out to me was how quickly she gets her shot off without hesitation. Her athleticism benefits her on both ends of the court, and she's fundamentally sound in all aspects of her game. She also has a strong left-hand finish which is a notable skill for a right-hand dominant player. Schoenecker drives powerfully, makes sharp cuts, and has good hands. So far this season, she is averaging 20.6 points and 7.4 rebounds per game.      Junior [player_tooltip player_id='888860' first='Nayeli' last='Kilen'] is an exceptional defender who applies full-court pressure like no other. Her defense is amongst the best I've seen – she's quick and stays with any player on the court. Kilen hustles for offensive boards, loose balls, help defense, and steals. She's always active and involved in every play. On offense, she's a major threat from beyond the arc and uses a sharp crossover and hesitation move to attack the rim. In a recent game against Whitewater, Kilen scored 20 points, shooting 6-for-9 from the field and 3-for-6 from three. She's currently averaging 12.2 points and 5.8 rebounds per game for the Milton varsity team.      [player_tooltip player_id='1162234' first='Harper' last='Neace'], a 6-foot sophomore, is making a significant impact on her Winneconne varsity team. She finishes well around the basket and is shooting 70% from the field this season. Her ability to use both hands when finishing at the rim makes her a challenging player to guard in the paint. Neace's athleticism and quickness create problems for opponents, especially with Winneconne's shooters on the perimeter to whom she can kick the ball. So far, she's averaging 10.8 points and 7.2 rebounds per game. In a recent game against Plymouth, she scored 18 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, and shot 8-for-9 from the field.      Milton sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='881307' first='Kylee' last='Buttchen'] has a strong shooting ability with a quick release. Her footwork on the catch-and-shoot is impressive. She's also great at finishing through contact and shows it off often in transition. When she beats her defender to the basket, it's almost a sure thing she'll score or draw a foul. She also has a nice pull-up jumper in her toolkit adding another dimension to her scoring. Kylee is scrappy and frequently picks up steals that make a real impact on defense. She's a tough on-the-ball defender and always seems to be in the right spot for help defense. Right now, she's averaging 14.8 points per game while shooting 50% from the field and 33% from three.      [player_tooltip player_id='533067' first='Nataya' last='Donaldson'] has great touch around the rim and is excellent at finishing with either hand. She's a tough matchup because she has forward-type strength but can also stretch the floor and beat defenders off the first step. Her strength allows her to play through contact which she uses to carve her way to the rim or create space for her shots. She poses a serious threat from the perimeter and consistently hits the shot from the arc. Donaldson is also an excellent defender with quick feet and strong anticipation skills. So far this season, she's averaging 19.7 points per game and shooting 41% from the field.      Emma Julka from Beaver Dam is off to a strong start this season averaging 11.3 points per game. She is a threat from the perimeter shooting 37% from beyond the arc. Julka is also a great passer with excellent court vision. She handles defensive pressure well when bringing the ball up the court and gets the offense flowing. Her ability to score and facilitate makes her a key contributor to her team's offensive success.
