<p>The Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Player of the Week Award is given to one student-athlete among many deserving candidates who demonstrates excellence during a week of their team's competition. The winner contributes to their team's success in multiple statistical categories to help her team compete to their best potential. Several players were deserving of recognition, but only one can be selected for Player of the Week. Those nominated and not chosen as Player of the Week receive recognition as Player of the Week Honorable Mention. Here are the girls who had a magnificent second week of the season and it's time to celebrate their accomplishments!</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Sadie set a school record for points scored in a single game with 38 points in a 58-32 victory against Richmond. She shot an efficient 43% from 3PT and 73% from 2PT field goals while adding 10 rebounds, a steal, an assist, and a block. Against St. Clair, Sadie scored 26 points with 9 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks in a 45-32 win. The Bulldogs finished the week with a 2-0 record as Sadie totaled 64 points, 19 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 blocks in two games. Her outstanding performances on the court resulted in both individual success and an undefeated week for her team. Sadie led the pack and has earned Michigan's Dec. 8-14 Player of the Week Award. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Ashlyn was expected to be the Maverick's top gun this season and she wasted no time etching her name in the Milford record books. Ashlyn set a new school record by hitting 7 three-pointers on 9 attempts against Fenton last Tuesday in a 63-26 victory. She tallied 25 points, 6 assists, 4 steals, and 4 rebounds in what was an exceptional day for one of Michigan's finest freshman guards. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Sophie produced an impressive all-around performance against Whittemore-Prescott last week with 15 points, 14 rebounds, 5 blocks, 5 steals, and an assist. That game marked her 15th career double-double and Sophie is off to a stellar sophomore campaign averaging 18 points and nearly 11 rebounds per game. </p>
