2026 Rankings Update - Stock Risers

The 2026 class is as good of a class as I can remember in recent years. There are a ton of players who can play college basketball if they so choose. She is a very good basketball player that plays with a toughness I can really appreciate. She is super competitive and able to battle with girls who are bigger than her. She is an excellent outside shooter with a great looking shot. Thompson runs a lot of 5-out action and she does an excellent job of decision making in that offense, understanding when to curl and replace and when to flare out. Kya and [player_tooltip player_id='342171' first='Addison' last='Sage'] are going to make Thompson a lot of fun to watch these next two years.     Quinn has had an outstanding start to her junior season, currently averaging 18.8 points per game, 6.4 rebounds, and 3.8 steals. She is also shooting an incredibly efficient 45% from the field, 37% from three, and 75% from the free throw line. Quinn is one of the smartest players I have watched, hardly ever making foolish mistakes. Quinn is going to find herself on the All-EDC team and on a team playing in the State Tournament this season. She is going to continue to play well and will start to get some college looks soon.     Annabel is a talented guard for Dickinson Trinity and someone I really enjoy watching. She moves extremely well on the court and has a beautiful looking shot. She is really good at using ball screens to create three-point scoring opportunities for herself. She is able to recognize when to drive and dish on those screen and roll plays as well. She does a nice job of cutting in the half-court and is a solid defender. Annabel is one of the best players in Class A and will have an excellent shot at returning to the All-State team this season as a junior.     Taya has great footwork in the post and a solid frame that she uses effectively to create space. She is a great second option for Kenmare, playing Robin to [player_tooltip player_id='245138' first='Mashae' last='Miller']'s Batman. These two play great together and have Kenmare playing at a high level. Taya is a smart post, using her body efficiently. She makes decisions on where to be on offense prior to getting the ball, something that is hard to teach posts.     Megan is the first player college coaches see when they walk into the gym. She has the frame every team is looking for. Her size and athleticism allows her to play guard or post up. She runs well and has a good jumping ability. She is able to handle the ball and can shoot the three at a high percentage. Megan looks a little better each time I see her play. She has a very high ceiling as a college prospect.     Aubrey is a terrific scorer for Benson County and one of the best players in Class B. She moves really well and has a nice shooting form. She is able to shoot the three and also get to the rim. She is one of three main options for Benson County and a big reason that they are currently undefeated. I anticipate Aubrey having a great chance at making an All-State team this season.     [player_tooltip player_id='342171' first='Addison' last='Sage'] is incredibly skilled and an absolute three point sniper. Last season she made an unbelievable 96 three pointers. She is one of the best long range shooters in the state. She is a solid defender and plays really well alongside fellow guard [player_tooltip player_id='550491' first='Kya' last='Hurst']. These two are very fun to watch and I can imagine very difficult to game plan for. Addison was a 1st-Team All-State selection last year and is well on her way to getting back on that team this season.     Cara has got her Garrison Troopers playing well and in the top ten in Class B rankings. She is a very steady guard with good size. Garrison utilizes her athletic ability and size and likes to post her up. A few things I really liked about Cara: she has been taught how to do a great post entry pass and I noticed her run after a ball that was out of bounds and hand it to an official. These are two small details that show me she is a very-well rounded player and person. Cara had an outstanding sophomore campaign last year and is backing it up with a great junior season this year.     Mataya is an incredible player who plays with a visible toughness. She is a solid 5'11 and a very good jumper. She times her rebounding so well and is able to get the ball at the peak of her jump. She is like a bulldozer going to the basket, not caring who is in the way and she is able to finish very efficiently through contact. She is currently averaging 20 points per game and 8.4 rebounds. She has St. Mary's in every game and will have her team very competitive come tournament time.     Abby is having a really effective year for Century and is helping make them competitive in a very tough West Region. She is averaging double figures scoring, shooting effectively from inside the arc. She will go even higher in the rankings if she can incorporate a three-point shot into her game. I really like how she competes defensively. She brings the patented Patriot Toughness to her team. I predict Abby will find herself on the All-WDA team this season and next year as well.
