Coming into the last few weeks of the regular season and [player_tooltip player_id='315777' first='Norah' last='Gessert'] of Millard West High School is leading the state in APG with 6. This number just edges out the prospects in 2nd and 3rd place, showing everyone really how close things are in this category. What makes this number even more impressive is that Norah is doing it against the toughest competition in the state of Nebraska, as well as against top rankings teams from other states. While this is impressive, it's not surprising. We are talking about a Creighton commit, that could make an instant impact within her first few seasons with the Bluejay's program. Until then, I'm sure she will stay mentally locked in going into the Post season, controlling what she can.

There is a lot to like about [player_tooltip player_id='1116158' first='Pyper' last='Ickes'] of St. Mary's High School. Ickes is an agile scorer, a creative distributor, and a knowledgeable prospect that shows up whenever she takes the floor. This is not only one of the highest assist leaders throughout the state right now but she shows up all over the stat sheet as well. When you sit down to watch someone for a game, you can tell if they pass the "eye-test" and in this case, Ickes passes with flying colors. She directly impacts the offensive and defensive side of things, each night. Which is really all you can ask for from a coaching or evaluation perspective.

[player_tooltip player_id='766762' first='Makenna' last='Miller'] of Anselmo-Merna High School competes at the SG position but she records a large amount of assists per contest. This might be because she can play off her scoring ability but a lot of the time it's seems to be because she makes a big play on defense and that leads into an assist in transition. Like I just mentioned, she does possess the ability to score at a thorough rate throughout a ball game but that's not her only ability. She is really a heart beat and source of energy for her entire team. When she gets fired up, she wears her emotions on her sleeve and that helps the others around her play to their fullest capabilities.

Moving into this Winter Bennington High School was a team to watch out for and they have started things off on a high note so far. A big reason for this success is their skilled underclassman group, who have stepped up in some major ways. One of the most impressive being 2027 - [player_tooltip player_id='893232' first='Harper' last='Bohaboj']. Bohaboj, a 5'6 PG, is holding her own and facilitating the others around her at a high rate. Such a high rate that she falls within the Top 10 in the entire state in APG. She is currently dropping 5.1 APG throughout her team's first 14 contests because of her crafty passing style and her willingness to adapt in crucial moments. If Bennington strives to carry their season of success into the Playoffs, more of these types of performances will be necessary.

Someone that is new to our system out of the 2028 Class, that has been deliberate in her actions this Winter is PG, [player_tooltip player_id='1160295' first='Mesa' last='Cox'] of Wauneta-Palisade High School. Cox has better than average coordination, fast hands, an act for being in the right spot at the right time, and she never seems to give up on a play. Those four factors help her dominate her competition at her position within her conference. I'm excited to see where Cox can take things from here. She is off to a great start to her high school career but her progression over the next few season with be the major key to her success in the future and towards her aspirations to play college ball. If she can continue to grow in her game, she is going to be someone we hear about more often moving forward.
