Kids who just lace them up and go to work. Each brings something special to the table in their own right, however their contributions are usually the reasons for their teams success. Within this class and this goes for all the girls up and down these rankings, there are a lot of selfless ball players. Kids who can not only score the basketball, but also impact the game by doing the other things that give their teams more possessions. They rebound the basketball, they sprint to cut off in traps, they shoot gaps, and just play solid in both zone and man to man.&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>When scouting kids, I often look at how they react on the court. Do they have the mindset and presence to be one step ahead of their opponents? Do they have a solid feel for the game to where they are in the right position majority of the time? A lot of kids in this class play a solid ball game based on skill and not just their athleticism. You better strap up anytime you play the Lady Spartans and make sure you attempt to lock up this young lady. She wants to lock up M2M and frustrate the opposition, leading them to cause turnovers. She's fearless and determined to be the best on the court in every outing. She's solid in the screen game, where she can pop to a favorable location or roll to the rim. She's a monster on the defensive end where she blocks shots and owns the boards. This kid is shooting up the charts. Her style of play gives her ball club an advantage every time she is on the floor. I love her ability to stretch the floor and contribute on the arc. When she is inside, she's tough as she can get it done in multiple ways. Of course she can score the basketball, but rebounding is something she excels at as well, and that goes for both ends of the floor. I have seen her on the circuit, in camps, and in the high game and she just always seems to come ready to compete. No matter the opponent, this kid goes hard and leaves a lasting impression.
