Four Guards Getting It Done at the Top of 4A

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Oregon section 4A girls basketball wrapped up league play on Tuesday to establish the top four playoff seeds: 1. Philomath, 2. Stayton, 3. Henley, and 4. La Grande. Four play-in games are scheduled for Friday and Saturday. Steen runs the offense and the floor for the Warriors. She can hit the catch-and-shoot three, pull-up for the middy off the glass, and finish with a strong take to the rim through contact. Steen is tenacious on the defensive end and slows the other team down. Daggett has good handles and can beat her defender with a hesitation and crossover. She quickly finds the open lane coast-to-coast for the layup. Daggett attacks the basket on the pass and can finish through traffic. She can post-up on her guard defender, get creative in the paint, and finish with a scoop layup. She led the Eagles in a strong start to defeat rival Philomath and earn the Oregon West Conference title. Hampton netted 9 points, all from behind the arc. Hampton hustles for the rebound, runs the court, and can finish strong in the paint. She was a 4A honorable mention pick last season and averages about 10 points a game this one. Harper is a great one-on-one guard defender, tracking her defender to get the block or the steal.
