<p>The Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Player of the Week Award is given to one student-athlete among many deserving candidates who demonstrates excellence during a week of their team's competition. The winner contributes to their team's success in multiple statistical categories to help her team compete to their best potential. Several players were deserving of recognition, but only one can be selected for Player of the Week. Those not chosen as Player of the Week received recognition as Player of the Week Honorable Mention. Here are the girls who had a magnificent ninth week of the season and it's time to celebrate their accomplishments!</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Harlem refused to let victory slip away against rival Birmingham Seaholm last week as she scored 14 of 15 points in overtime to secure a 69-60 win. Harlem set personal records for points with 31 and rebounds with 15, adding 4 assists and 4 steals. Against Bloomfield Hills, Harlem scored 23 points with 10 rebounds, 7 steals, 3 assists, and 1 block. She shot 58% from 2 PT against Seaholm and 70% from 2 PT against Bloomfield Hills. Harlem was clutch from the charity stripe, making 17 of 21 free throws (81%). Her comprehensive contribution of 54 points, 7 assists, 25 rebounds, and 11 steals earned Michigan's POTW Award.</p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Sydney passed 1,000 points against Dearborn and set a new Belleville single-game scoring record last week with 41 points during a 77-19 victory against Livonia Churchill. She averaged 33 points and 6 rebounds across three games. The Tigers defeated Westland John Glenn 80-14 and lost a 52-57 nail-biter to Wayne Memorial. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Kendyl was the front-runner for SVL MVP and has certainly played up to those expectations. This season, Kendyl's made 25 3s against conference opponents, scored a career-high 42 points against Mount Pleasant, and passed 1,000 points for her career. She had an outstanding week nine, scoring 47 points with 19 assists and 10 rebounds in two games. She shot 44% from 3PT and 50% overall as Powers defeated Davison 71-41 and Midland Dow 78-68. Kendyl scored 27 points with 9 assists and 2 rebounds against Davison. She added 30 points with 10 assists and 8 rebounds against Dow. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Jordyn will be a finalist for Miss Basketball after this season's story is written. Kalamazoo Christian is a D3 title contender at 11-2 with two quality losses. In week nine, Jordyn had 27 points during a 50-14 win against Martin and set a single-game scoring record with 35 points in a 55-13 win against Parchment. The Comets defeated Grand Rapids Covenant Christian 38-29 to end the week 3-0. </p>

<p class="text-gray-700">Christen lifted the Warriors to an epic 70-68 overtime victory against Berkley during an OAA Blue Divisional battle last week. She shouldered the load scoring 35 points with 15 rebounds and 4 steals. Christen is averaging 23 points and 7 rebounds for the Warriors in the last four games. She is a bright, aggressive, and strong multidimensional prospect who will be an excellent addition to a college program after this season. </p>
