<p><strong><em>Lady Yellow Jackets Defeat Lady Rams</em></strong>: </p>

<p>The North Augusta HS Lady Yellow Jackets are your Class 4A State Champions. The Lady Yellow Jackets defeated the Lady Rams 50-37 to finish the season at (30-1) under Head Coach Al Young. North Augusta HS finishes the season with a 27-game winning streak. The Lady Rams finish the season at (24-3) under Head Coach Nicole Hood. Westside HS led 23-19 at the halftime break. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='350281' first='Celena' last='Grant'] </strong>is the #1 player in the 2026 Palmetto State. She now has two state championships in her back pocket. Grant finished the day with 17 points and 6 rebounds in the win over Westside HS. Celena was able to score the ball using her good body control to the basket. She finished with a few floaters to go along scoring the rock through contact today. Celena showcased a nice euro step move and hesitation move to the cup. She was able to establish position down low in the paint with her ability to overpower defenders. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='305000' first='Madison' last='McCain']</strong> wrapped up her career today with a state championship. McCain came up big early with her ability to knockdown down a few three-balls to get the Lady Yellow Jackets going. Madison really set the tone early with her play. The UNSIGNED senior was able to play more outside on the perimeter here today for the Lady Yellow Jackets than we had seen her play before. Madison finished the game with 8 points. Madison was the Unsung hero for the Lady Yellow Jackets here today. </p>

<p><strong><em>Hartwell Puts Solid Game Together</em></strong>: </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='324541' first='Khalia' last='Hartwell']</strong> is the #1 player in the 2027 Palmetto State Class. Hartwell already 6-foot-5 down in the paint was really able to alter and challenge shots down low today. She finished with 21 points and 12 rebounds before fouling out with 49.6 seconds left. Khalia has a soft touch and the ability to catch and finish around the cup. She has good footwork and a willingness to control the paint down low. Khalia certainly will be a High Major Recruit down the road. She finished the game (10-14) from the floor. </p>

<p><strong><em>Walker and Williams Help in Win</em></strong>: </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='444371' first='Ashley' last='Walker']</strong> and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='304999' first='Messiah' last='Williams']</strong> both will look to return next year for Head Coach Al Young. Walker a top 5 player in the 2027 Palmetto State Class brings such a big-time energy to the floor and work ethic. Ashley really likes to play physical and plays extremely hard at all times. She finished with 10 points here today after getting off to a slow start. </p>

<p>Williams was able to settle in and finish with 7 points and 8 rebounds in the win. Messiah looked at times to play from the short corner and face-up. She plays the game very effective around the cup and has ability to challenge shots as a rim protector. </p>

<p><strong><em>Lady Rams Have Young Roster</em></strong>:</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='921724' first='Tiana' last='Marshall'] </strong>is an 8th grader for the Westside HS Lady Rams. Tiana averaged 10.7 ppg, 5.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists this past season. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='398712' first='Makyhia' last='Paul']</strong>,<strong> [player_tooltip player_id='195514' first='Monasia' last='Clinkscales']</strong>, <strong>Lamiyah Boggs</strong> and<strong> [player_tooltip player_id='1302470' first='Mariah' last='Randolph']</strong> will all be back next season along with Hartwell.</p>

<p>Al Young is a former NFL Football Player with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Young graduated from South Carolina State University after graduating high school from Booker T Washington HS in Columbia, SC. Young now has a career record of (168-19) in 8 seasons with the Lady Yellow Jackets. </p>
