If the defender doesn't step up right away, Troh is always willing to let it go off the catch or dribble with a decent conversation rate and that was something she demonstrated multiple times on Sunday. When it comes to her style on the defensive side of things, she is a risk taker and she understands when she should throw her hands in there for an attempted take away. [program_tooltip program_id='715980' first='Team' last='Iowa'] 2027's team is going to be a group worth stopping by to watch. They will have some play-makers who are sure to catch your attention. Lenox demonstrated this past weekend that no matter her age, she can hang with the big dawgs in the gym. She did a great job of standing out as a consistent player in skill-drills, while being an asset in live action drills as well. She also stood out for making the right play a majority of the time whenever she was faced with a decision and that was impressive for a prospect at this age level. This is another hooper that lives in the gym in the off-season. As long as she continues to stay in love with the process of the game, she is going to be someone to know at the high school level in just a couple of years.

If you are looking for a smart thinking PG, that can light the nets of fire in the blink of an eye, then you are looking for [player_tooltip player_id='644546' first='Addyson' last='Luvan'] of CR - Jefferson High School. This event brought in competition that will be playing at a D1 level in the future and Luvan did her job of standing out in her own ways. Offensively, she would either attack her defender coming down hill and get to her spot near the basket for an attempt or she would pass, move away from the play, an look for the ball in rotation for a three point attempt. From what I've seen as of late, Luvan is also someone that you can give the ball to and they can hold down your offense without turning it over at a noteworthy rate. Something you love to see out of someone who will have a bigger role this upcoming Winter with the J-Hawks.

There are some players out there that you would consider a "Swiss-army knife" type. This means the player is versatile. They can move around to multiple positions, all while yielding positive results in one way or another. That's how I would describe [player_tooltip player_id='1221194' first='Gabi' last='Pedroso'] of CR - Washington. Pedroso has decent height for her age so that she can beat her defender with length offensively or she can switch between spots defensively and stick to someone smaller or taller. She also demonstrated that she communicates well and she is someone that you'd want to keep on the floor at all times from a coaching perspective. She seems to stay level headed in all situations and that is something all great teams need.

Micah Duke possesses an efficient dribble from right to left, she protects the ball on the drive, and she isn't afraid to mix it up with the bigger players that sit in the lane awaiting her arrival. Duke is also a pretty scrappy defender, usually getting into her opponents body when they have the ball, forcing turnovers in the boatload in both the half court and full courts. The CR - Jeff team is a young one as you can tell but they have noteworthy pieces. If those pieces continue to work, who knows where they might take things.

When you have prospects that are really young in the game, you can tell that the base and foundation to build on is there, if it happens to be. That's what we have with Ezra Creighton. Creighton has good fundamentals of the game, she doesn't seem to crumble under pressure, and she is always willing to learn from those around her. She can go either way while dribble toward the basket and she knows when to do what in most situations. It's somewhat a mystery what position she will be by the time she gets to high school but I would learn more towards a guard. Her skill set seems to be geared towards that right now so that's what I'd assume until I see other wise.

[player_tooltip player_id='1221192' first='Tianah' last='Howell'] is a tough individual to stay in front of when she has space. Howell never seems to stop moving. If she has the ball or not, it doesn't matter. She consistently thrives within her offense with decisive decision making and a high motor. Anyone knows that it can be tough to stick with someone throughout the entire duration of a contest if they don't stop moving the entire time. It gets tiring. So when you can do that offensive and still produce when it comes to you, is an ability not everyone possesses. I'll be interested to observe Howell for her sophomore season at CR - Jefferson in seven months. She showed promise in this event so hopefully she can ride that momentum into this next Winter.
