Minnesota high school coaches all-state selections

March 10 update: Apparently the coach’s association left Sienna Duininck Sienna Duininck 5'7" | CG Central MN Christian | 2027 State MN of Central Minnesota Christian off their published list of honorable mentions for Class A. She was one name we had questioned in our original article. The story has been updated to add Sienna to the list.

The Minnesota high school regular season came to a close on Friday night across the state, bringing this year’s campaign to an end for everyone who did not make it into next week’s MSHSL State Tournament in Minneapolis. While we prefer to wait until the tournament concludes to hand out our post-season awards, the Minnesota Girls Basketball Coaches Association has released its “official” All-State selections. The association requires its coaches to submit nominations for players, and not all coaches belong to the association. Over the years, that has resulted in some embarrassing omissions, such as the time current Michigan/former Benilde-St. Margaret’s star Olivia Olson was left off the list. But that’s water under the bridge.

For the most part we like this year’s selections, although there are always omissions that stand out. In Class A, you could certainly make a case for 2027 forward Lexi Lawrence Lexi Lawrence 6'0" | SF EGF Sacred Heart | 2027 State MN of East Grand Forks Sacred Heart. Lawrence practically willed her team into the State Tournament on Friday night. In Class AA, we would definitely not have left Jadyn Kor Jadyn Kor 5'10" | CG Pipestone | 2026 State MN of Pipestone off the list. Ranked #29 in the Class of 2026, Kor lit up the scoreboard all winter long. Anyone who watched the Section 1AAA final Friday would not have omitted junior Madison Ohm Madison Ohm 5'10" | CG Byron | 2026 State MN of Byron. She is a top 20 junior. You could definitely make a case for 2027 guard Ava Litecky of Totino-Grace, who has had a tremendous season. And in Class AAAA, we would have found a place for standout freshman Maggie Dyer Maggie Dyer 5'10" | SF/SG Rochester Mayo | 2028 State MN of Rochester Mayo, who is ranked #4 in the Class of 2028.
