[player_tooltip player_id='216441' first='Jaelynn' last='Housey'] checked the boxes at the Sunshine Showdown and CLEARLY solidified herself as one of the top players in the State. Housey just ate up teams in the middle of the defense with the pull-up jumper, stop and pop, catch and shoot, and getting to the rim. At times, Housey was the decision maker and playmaker. She had some nice assists down low and kick-outs to her shooters. Housey is a highly skilled player and her efficiency, IQ, and all around game was evident. She was definitely one of the top players in the building.

[player_tooltip player_id='468627' first='Jasleen' last='Green'] put on a shooting and ball handling display Sunday that was super impressive. Green must have connected on 4 or 5 three pointers alone and most were created off of here elite ball handling skills. Green can get anywhere she wants to on the floor, and she put on a clinic of creating space with the handles, the hesitations, and the step back. Sitting under the nets and watching the opposing coach screaming “get there” was worth the price of admission. Green also played some in-your-face defense that created a little tension from the opponent. Green was beast at the Showdown and made the claim as one of the top players in the State of Florida.

[player_tooltip player_id='1217157' first='Myanna' last='Hatchette'] was another impressive prospect I saw on Saturday. Hatchette had great mobility and was chopping down defenders and knocking down the midrange. The Junior guard was also very good in transition where she ran the floor and finished on the break. Speed and quickness were two of Hatchette's biggest assets. She used them well. She is poised to have a great travel season on a very talented team.

[player_tooltip player_id='515069' first='Erynn' last='Moffett']'s game is evolving and expanding right in front of our eyes and it was an awesome site to see this past weekend. Moffett was known for her ball IQ and athleticism as a Freshman, and this high school season she showcased her athleticism and versatility on both ends of the floor. This past weekend you could see the increased offensive skills and thesmooth midrange shot. Her ball IQ, timely back door cuts and her battles on the boards did not go unnoticed. Moffett was already a special player, and by the looks of this weekend, she is poised to handle business on both sides of the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='248551' first='Alanna' last='Tatum'] had a very good weekend and really showed a lot of versatility to her game. Over the past 3 to 4 years, we've seen Tatum at the point guard position, but this past weekend Tatum was off the ball at the two and really made a lot of things happen. She was still using her point bar skills, making some nice passes also using her court vision to read the floor. On day three of the tournament instead of initiating the game winning play, Tatum received the pass, maneuvered into the paint, and hit the midrange beauty. As expected, Tatum also stood out on defensive end , locking down those with suspect handles, and cutting off angles against the elite ones. In the three guard set, Tatum showed the ability to guard taller players in the post by utilizing her strength. Back to the offense, Tatum scored on all three levels and connected on several corner threes. She got the job done this past weekend and showed the ability to play the one or the two.

[player_tooltip player_id='892014' first='Kelsey' last='Sharpe'] showcased her skills on both sides of the ball and has solidified herself as one of the top small guards in the State. Sharpe has abilities that other players don't - ELITE speed and athleticism. She has the ability to use her speed to beat defenders to the basket and has a good understanding of angles to the basket. On Saturday evening, Sharpe was in the zone scoring on consecutive drives to the rim. Defensively, she was a pest with her on-ball defense and quickness to cut off drives to the basket.
