This past weekend, the Auburn Fieldhouse hosted the Battle in the [program_tooltip program_id='713343' first='Emerald' last='City']. Teams from Washington, Oregon, California, Idaho, and Montana convened as some of the top players on the West Coast competed. I'll be breaking down my coverage of the 17U division throughout the week, starting with 11 of the top-performing guards from the event.

Amaya Jarvis | Pfahler Hoops Montana Black | 5'7 | Havre (MT) 2026

Easily one of my favorite players to watch this weekend, Jarvis was one of the standout performers who commanded control of the game from start to finish and left her imprint all over each of their matchups, helping her Pfahler Hoops squad finish the weekend 4-0. She's a strong guard who controlled the pace, proved she could make every pass, and had elite court awareness to counter any ball pressure and continually get the rock to teammates in space. Her decision-making was A1 and on top of her playmaking, she was a poised finisher inside who showed she can capably score at each level.

[player_tooltip player_id='580530' first='Ellery' last='Burke-Brown'] | [program_tooltip program_id='753717' first='WA' last='Premier'] | 5'10 | Roosevelt 2026

The [program_tooltip program_id='753717' first='WA' last='Premier'] guard is a super smooth player who can get free in tight spaces with compact moves or extend her moves in space and showed yet again this weekend how deadly she can be scoring the rock. Her transitions from dribble moves into her jumper are seamless, and she is a pretty sneaky ballhandler who can get to her spots and did some nice playmaking in addition to racking up buckets.

[player_tooltip player_id='925070' first='Brandi' last='Stanford'] | Team Wilder | 5'7 | River Ridge 2026

Her handle and quickness were real factors for Team Wilder over the weekend. She was excellent under pressure and was constantly blowing by her defender, opening up her hips and bursting down driving lanes. She had the defense on their heels and was able to put a lot of pressure on the interior with her penetration. Made a ton of plays at the hoop as well as getting the ball up the floor quickly, and exhibited great poise throughout the weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='794710' first='Nellie' last='Nicholls'] | FOH | 6'0 | Cle Elum 2027

Nicholls was really impressive across the board as a player who can score from each level. She's very smooth with the ball, can make contested finishes with either hand look easy with her length, and overall boasts a complete offensive profile. She got a lot of action going with her drive and kick game and is just incredibly fluid with the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='832621' first='Reese' last='Jordan'] | NW Select | 5'10 | West Linn (OR) 2026

Jordan was an all-around performer who just went out and made plays. Very efficient and balanced on the offensive end, finding teammates with quick dishes off her drives, getting strong inside to finish in various ways, running the floor for fast break points, and dropping in jumpers. She also made a couple of big blocks on the defensive end and played really confident, competitive hoop on both ends of the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id='585032' first='Kaleo' last='Anderson'] | NW Blazers GUAA | 6'0 | King's 2026

Anderson is a really unique player at 6-feet who can handle the ball, cover a lot of ground off the bounce, and score with ease at each level. She had several scooping layups around defenders inside that were unguardable, splashed in threes off the bounce and the catch, and was excellent at beating the initial defender with long crossovers and using her eyes to hold help defenders at bay.

[player_tooltip player_id='827947' first='Cheyenne' last='Hull'] | NW Blazers GUAA | 6'0 | Davis 2027

Another player who can affect the game in a lot of ways, Hull was tough to stop downhill with her strength on straight-line drives and utilized a super effective spin move several times to get around defenders and to the cup. Her ability to split defenders off the bounce at her size is very impressive, and she was able to score from just about every spot, cashing in threes, getting quick posts down low, feeling space in the midrange, and getting to the hoop with regularity.

[player_tooltip player_id='676258' first='Finley' last='Parcher'] | NW Blazers GUAA | 6'0 | Lynden 2027

Parcher showed off her versatility over the weekend as a player who can play any spot on the floor. She put in a ton of work on the glass and really looked like one of the stronger rebounders and players I saw at the event. She plays as a point forward with Lynden and her passing ability was another skill highlighted over the weekend. Whether she was finding quick outlets off of defensive boards, making skips and quick finds from the perimeter, or making quick decisions to evade pressure, she was one of the top passers I witnessed. There was really nothing she couldn't do; defending the post, stretching the floor, attacking the hoop. Parcher showed once again why she is one of the top players in her class.

[player_tooltip player_id='580529' first='Giselle' last='Dollar'] | NW Greyhounds 3SSB | 5'7 | Roosevelt 2026

Easily one of the best guards from the weekend, Dollar brought tenacity to both ends of the floor that stood out among a talented field of players. She was a dog guarding the ball and was in full control running point. She showed some awesome strength to drive through hand checks and swipes and get to the basket and was also zipping the ball around to find teammates for numerous assists. A very skilled passer who played physical on both ends, dealt with pressure without panic, and was an elite hustler.

[player_tooltip player_id='317597' first='Ashley' last='Uusitalo'] | NW Greyhounds 3SSB | 5'9 | Lake Washington 2026

The Lake Washington standout had a great weekend in Auburn scoring, defending, and dishing. She's got one of the better jumpers in the state and was hitting from long-range, midrange, and getting busy to the hoop. She played with an air of calm and confidence with the ball in her hands and was able to manipulate her defender with her hesitation, change of pace, and great deceleration. Played some tough defense too and was a big factor for the Greyhounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='832544' first='Nylah' last='Webster'] | Jason Kidd Select P24 | 5'10 | Benson 2027

Loved Webster's game this weekend as an all-around impact player who sought out the right play and displayed a very balanced skill set. Didn't try to do too much, took what the defense presented her, and was able to knock down open shots and attack the paint with strength which led to quite a few trips to the free-throw line. She was constantly communicating with teammates to get them in position and point out where to attack. She was a solid passer with entries to the post, passes up in transition, and was a tough defender who challenged ballhandlers. Just a hard worker who didn't take plays off and was unselfish but aggressive.
