Offensively she knows how to get those paint touches and makes good decisions. Very rarely have I ever seen her get stuck on her drives. A driver that knows her options when going downhill either kicking out for the 3, drop pass to the post or hit them with that nice runner she has. On defense she is all over the place as mentioned making things happen. Excellent instinct for the ball getting the steal or deflection. First time I saw this young lady play was at a super scrimmage in November. Started out the game knocking down 3 from deep in a row. Noted Shooter! Good handles at the point that has the vision to find the cutters on the backside. A strong rebounding guard that needs no outlet to start the fast breaks. A very athletic combo guard that can knock down the outside shot or beat you off the dribble for a layup. Just check out her social media and you will see that she dedicated to working on her craft. Set a school record this season with 90 made 3-pointers. The footwork is solid, and the release is quick needing little time or space for the shot. Good handles at the point guard spot as she has had to play that spot at times. Pushes the tempo on transition as eyes are up the court looking for the rim runner. Remarkably high IQ player on defense that understands rotating and help the help concept. Physical downhill driver from the wings that get to rim welcoming the contact for the possible Old Fashion 3. A high-level scorer in Jr. High with a18ppg average that had an immediate impact on her high school program. A great sized shooting guard that likes rebounding gives you a shooting guard that could possibility be your leading rebounder as well. Never seems raddled just cool as can be make the next read on offense making a good decision. Good patience on the dribble waiting e to drop in a gear attacking the defender shoulder to turn the corner. Nice outside stroke that will demand your respect as she can get hot like a shooting guard. A tough defender that plays the passing lanes looking for that steal leading to fastbreak layup. Makiaya had an impressive performance in Arkansas picking up several offers. Changes direction on the dribble always trying to move forwards and not backwards. Good vision off the dribble finding open players on the block or spotted up on the wing for kick out shot. Tough driver to the rim that uses her body to create the space needed against a shot blocker. List as a shooting guard as well because of her shooting ability. The player that does not mind sacrificing scoring doing whatever is needed for her team to win.
