<p>Wisconsin may be last in the alphabetical order of the United States, but it is anything but last when it comes to basketball talent. This has a way of proving itself time and time again throughout the high school season and during grassroots play. </p>

<p>When the club campaign arrives in April, one of the many Badger State-based organizations hoops aficionados are on the lookout for is [program_tooltip program_id='713344' first='Chapman' last='Basketball Academy'] which is headed by Joe Chapman who was a former college standout at Marquette. </p>

<p>The team, which competes on the PUMA Circuit, has an upcoming schedule that includes the Cheesehead Challenge in late June and the Nike Tournament of Champions in Chicago in the latter half of July. </p>

<p>There are once again a number of teams on the AAU trail that are sporting the [program_tooltip program_id='713344' first='Chapman' last='Basketball Academy'] uniform. Without further ado, here is a look at the 16U Johansen/Chapman team. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='883074' first='Liliana' last='Verplancke']</strong> – Verplancke is a rising interior stalwart for the Black Hawks of Grafton. In addition to what she does on the basketball court, she also thrives on the soccer pitch. Verplancke can give a team worthwhile minutes either at the four or as a traditional five. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='883665' first='Ronna' last='Kelly']</strong> – Typically, when someone is coming off either a great individual or team season, it can translate well into the grassroots campaign. Kelly was part of a Wisconsin Lutheran 2024-25 version that finished 17-8 last season. </p>

<p><strong>Madalyn Winter</strong> – Winter is part of a Cedarburg team that concluded the 2024-25 campaign having gone 15-8. She has a history within the Chapman Basketball program as she previously played with its 14U Soler team. </p>

<p><strong>Sophia Place</strong> – Sophia displays whenever she has a hoops uniform that her Place is on the basketball court. She played last season for Divine Savior Holy Angels and stands at an even six feet. </p>

Dotson's second sport of choice is soccer and she plays at the varsity level in both disciplines. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='882313' first='Molly' last='Masse']</strong> – Masse goes from wearing black and orange of Cedarburg to the black and gold of [program_tooltip program_id='713344' first='Chapman' last='Basketball Academy'] during the spring and summer months. Listed at 5-foot-4, she primarily operates at the point. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='891022' first='Madeline' last='Agg']</strong> – Speaking of multi-sport athletes, that characteristic also applies to Agg who also competes in cross country alongside what she does on the basketball court. Her Muskego team finished with a 26-5 record last year.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='892382' first='Abby' last='Taraboi']</strong> – At a notable 5-foot-11, this standout from Cedarburg certainly gives a team a noteworthy height advantage in the interior. The chemistry she has with Winter and Masse definitely translates well to the grassroots team. </p>
