PGH Peach Games: 15U First Team

The 2025 version of Peach Games is in the books. This also means that two of the three events as part of this year's Triumph Region in the Prep Girls Hoops Circuit have also been completed.    All that is left is the Triumph Region Finals which will also emanate from Georgia with the scene shifting from the metro-Atlanta area to Columbus.    We will have more time to preview the Triumph Region Finals but it is time to look back at the previously completed Circuit get-together where the Atlanta suburb of Marietta was the epicenter of. Without further ado, here is a look at our 15U First Team from Peach Games.     Defenses are in a hurry to try to stop McCurry – and still usually fail in the process. McCurry's [program_tooltip program_id='713173' first='Wood' last='Elite'] Howren 15U team was one of two teams in the 2028 field that finished 4-0 for the tournament. The young standout from 4A Cartersville is a consummate floor general that can play the role of point guard but also has the 3-point shooting accuracy of a two guard. She places plenty of emphasis on ball handling, getting up and down the floor quickly and defensive work where she can collect a large number of steals. A signature performance of McCurry's occurred in a win over [program_tooltip program_id='713452' first='FBC' last=''] Dynasty 15U where she scored 21 points.     [player_tooltip player_id='1241613' first='Brooklyn' last='Brunetti'] balled out big time in the Big Peach. Brunetti is completing her middle school career at Northwestern MS which is a feeder school for 5A Milton. Brunetti looked more than ready for the high school ranks. Her scoring and rebounding will be a major boost to an Eagles team that concluded last season with a record of 24-7. Brunetti's play was another reason why [program_tooltip program_id='713173' first='Wood' last='Elite'] Howren 15U concluded Peach Games with an unblemished 4-0 record. Two of her notable performances were when she scored nine points in a win over [program_tooltip program_id='713452' first='FBC' last=''] Team All In SisterHood 15U and a 14-point outing in a tough contest against LOB Elite 15U.     The other team that finished Peach Games with a 4-0 mark was [program_tooltip program_id='713618' first='Macon' last='Mystics'] 2028. Stanley's team was locked in a tough matchup against [program_tooltip program_id='715404' first='North' last='Metro Elite'] 15U on Sunday – one of the games of that day's play. With 19 points, Stanley ensured that the aforementioned contest went her team's way in what was a clash of 3-0 squads. The tough defense she plays can certainly leave opposing offenses turnover-prone and Stanley is also very efficient as a transition playmaker. That toughness also extends into her willingness to draw contact to get to the free-throw line. When watching her play, one can see why her Academy for Classical Education team last season finished with a mark of 21-5 last season.     Jenkins and her 5-foot-11 stature was a matchup problem for opposing defenders in the paint all weekend in metro-Atlanta. She and her [program_tooltip program_id='713618' first='Macon' last='Mystics'] 2028 assembling saved its best for last when it matched up against [program_tooltip program_id='715404' first='North' last='Metro Elite'] in a contest of unbeatens. A back-and-forth get-together went the way of the central Georgia team in large part because of Jenkins' 17 points. A double-double possibility on a game-by-game basis because of her scoring and rebounding, the Bleckley County standout can give a team productive minutes at either the two, three or wing. Jenkins will play with her back to the basket and will work hard to finish a play.     Marietta HS may be the land of Blue Devils but it was blessed by an Angel this past weekend. A standout from 6A McEachern, Hurst is an accurate 3-point specialist. She plays the role of a two guard efficiently but can also give a team productive minutes at the three. Hurst is listed at 5-foot-7. A couple of her signature games from the past weekend were when she scored 14 points in a win over Team Brandan Wright 15U and tallied another 14 in a close defeat to an unbeaten [program_tooltip program_id='713618' first='Macon' last='Mystics'] team. Collecting steals and getting out in transition are two other integral elements to her already superb skillset.
