Here are a few athletes that have recently committed or been offered to compete at the next level following last weekend's Live College Viewing Period. All these players have shown off their skill-sets over the years with their varsity team and that has helped them prove to recruiters that they have what it takes to suit up following their high school careers.

Following this past weekend, [player_tooltip player_id='863281' first='Hallie' last='Vander Weerdt'] of [program_tooltip program_id='712377' first='All' last='Iowa Attack'] and SE Polk High School received her first college offer from Maryville. Maryville see's the promise in Vander Weerdt. She steps into the Spring as a 6'1 SF out of the 2027 Class with a higher ceiling than most. She already possesses a high level of coordination and athletic ability along with her height, which is what is going to really interest collegiate coaches now and moving forward. She has a presence by the basket that you have to pay attention to on both sides of the ball with her fundamental base. This spring HVW has been controlling what she can, when she can and been productive in her efforts. If she continues to keep on this trajectory, it'll be interesting to see where she ends up.

[player_tooltip player_id='598490' first='Ava' last='Putman'] of Central DeWitt and [program_tooltip program_id='715980' first='Team' last='Iowa'] just grabbed another D3 offer from The Cornell Rams to continue on following her high school career. Putman has proven a lot over the past six months. She finished off her Junior campaign with the Sabers at the State Tournament, showing that she could be some team's #1 eventually down the line. She has great instincts, a fast first step, she isn't afraid of physical contact, and she has good body control when she is attacking the rim. She can also pull up from deep off the catch or dribble if she see's an opening. Putman should receive a few more offers before she commits. She definitely has the interest, coaches just need to keep pulling the trigger.

We have seen [player_tooltip player_id='305777' first='Elsa' last='Vedral'] put up some impressive numbers and stat lines over the past years on the Varsity court with her Marian High School team. A few days ago, Vedral made her college choice and that is to attend D1-Lindenwood starting this Fall. Vedral brings some noteworthy play to the floor. She is known for rebounding at a very high rate on both offense and defense, while being a sound scoring threat as well. Her length helps her take advantage of key-matchups and helps her exploit the defense. I'm not sure how Vedral will fit in the Lindenwood system but she is a go-getter so I wouldn't be shocked if she played early on in her career.

Last week sometime [player_tooltip player_id='865335' first='Kamryn' last='Scott'] received a full-ride offer from NAIA - Hastings out of Nebraska. I always say, this may be Scott's first offer but it won't be her last. These past twelve months Scott has been a stock-riser out of her 2027 Class. She helped her team to a very successful Winter season as their main PG and she has been doing the same this AAU season with her Laser's program. Scott has a well-rounded ability. She can handle under pressure, score from three offensive levels, she can rebound, she defends pretty well, and she has a smart head on her shoulders. All things that lead to success on the college floor in one way or another. Scott is going to continue to be the leader for her Laser's program. When she is in control, they are at their best and I don't expect that to change anytime soon.

[player_tooltip player_id='777233' first='Romey' last='Croatt'] was briefly highlighted the other day because of how well of a weekend she put together with her [program_tooltip program_id='712377' first='All' last='Iowa Attack'] 17U EYCL team. Following this showing, Croatt received a call and official offer from South Dakota University. The Coyotes has been hunting throughout Iowa from potential recruits for a couple years now and their grasp is only getting strong with time. I love what Croatt brings to the floor as a player. She is the definition of a dawg. She just wants it more than most others in front of her, she LOVES to compete, and she is consistent. Three things you love to see out of an aspiring hooper. We will see where Croatt can go from here. I know there are a few other D1 programs interested in this one so now we just have to wait and see.

It was the most recent series of events but it's worth noting that [player_tooltip player_id='896886' first='Jayla' last='Cleveland'] is off to Mayville State. Cleveland, a 6'0 Forward, is someone we talked about throughout her high school career because of how she patrolled the area in-between the blocks. She is someone that her team would consistently feed with her back to the basket and in most cases, she convert those attempts when she had the adequate time and space. I'm sure that Cleveland is going to produce at the next level. She plays with good size, an active motor, physicality, and a lot of heart. If she gets a shot early on, she is sure to make the most of it.
