One word that comes to mind when thinking of the 2028 centers. The 5 position is demanding and isn't for the fainted heart. It's a taxing position that shoulders a lot of weight. You have to be solid on both ends of the floor to be a difference maker at this position. It's not about if and when, it's a must because this position is relied on heavily to be great. Your the last line of defense. Your stature poses a threat. If you can score the basketball, the more of a problem you will be for the opposing team. This position is an ongoing learning position. Reason why I said you must have patience is because a lot of team will try to play fast, yet once they insert a big and figure out how to utilize them, their attack becomes even more deadly.

The 2028 class will have some prospects that will come from the center position. Most of the time girls that play this position don't come in right away in the high school realm and take over. There are little nuances of the game that have to be learned and when they have been mastered, it's off to the races.

Check out a few center prospects from the 2028 class. You may not know their name currently, but in due time you will know them and the impact they will have for their ball club.

Solid young lady who can stretch the floor and take advantage of her quickness. She can knock it down from the 3-point line, but where she makes her money is inside the painted area. She has nice moves that enable her to get through the opposition and finish at the rim. She contributes heavily on the boards as well as utilizes her size to elevate and block shots. This kid is a tremendous asset and will continue to grow into a solid prospect that coaches at the next level would love to have.

Mobile big who is a defensive juggernaut. Her length allows her to block shots consistently. Anytime her hands are up, she poses as a threat. I give her credit in the fact that she keeps her composure and throws her hands high to where she doesn't get fouls as often. Most kids want to swat at the ball, this kid goes straight up and holds her ground. Offensively, she possess great footwork around the rim that enables her to finish in the painted area. This young lady is a solid two-way ball player that is about to breakthrough and become one of the top centers in her class.

This young lady is on the rise. Offensively, she is great in the screen game, knocks it down from the 15ft range consistently, and can finish in the painted area with power. Defensively, she uses her size to block shots and she controls the boards with two hands, finds her outlet teammates and then its off to the races. I love her ability to run her lane and catch balls over the top to finish. This young lady isn't done growing as a player and I expect her to become one the next solid bigs from the Lady Blaze program.

This solid two-way prospect is about to take off. Her confidence is there and as she has earned more court time, you are beginning to see her become comfortable on the floor. She can knock it down from multiple spots on the floor. She can step out and knock down the occasional 3, however the mid-range and low block areas is where she thrives. She is great on the glass. She creates second chance opportunities for her team on the offensive end, and stifles teams attempts on the defensive side as she secures the ball with two hands. She is a solid prospect that is going to continue to get better and become a intrical piece of the Cleveland attack as they look to make another run at state contention.
