Today I was invited to the Elite Prospect Camp, just North of Lafayette, Indiana. There were roughly 20 young ladies on hand to do a variety of drills and structured game activities during the 3-hour session, and I wanted to take a moment to highlight eight of the prospects who stood out to me for one reason or another throughout today's activities. This isn't everyone who necessarily played well, but there were things each of these eight did that I felt warranted mentioning.

Layla was one of the more physical prospects on hand Monday morning, but what's more impressive is the fact that she is as skilled/as effective at 20-feet as she is inside of 12-feet. She can play strong around the paint, score, rebound, and defend. But Layla is also skilled with the ball in her hands, especially as a passer, and she does have some touch that can extend to 3-point range at times. I anticipate her having a big Junior season.

Sadey is an extremely smooth wing guard, and she had every bit as strong of a day as she has consistently shown throughout this Spring. She has some length, speed & quickness, and the ability to get that first step and attack the basket to score. At the same time, she has some touch around the perimeter, but her mid-range jumper is considerably accurate. I also like her steady approach and her quiet toughness, as she applies that at the defensive end.

Havana had a solid day working through the skills & drills part of the morning, but it was her play during the 5-on-5 that stood out to me. She got hot at the right time and buried a number of 3-point attempts, some contested, and some with range a couple of feet comfortably behind the 3-point line. She plays with such versatility, whether that's scoring it in a variety of ways, creating for others, or being able to defend multiple positions equally well.

Brooke is a highly intriguing young wing who stands out immediately with her immense length. She looks like she's even grown an inch since earlier this Spring, and she has the potential to grow another two to three inches throughout her career. Like her older sisters, Brooke has really nice shooting form and touch from the perimeter. She is a threat whenever she catches it in rhythm, but she's also starting to put it on the floor a bit more aggressively.

This was my first opportunity to see Lillian play, and she had a really nice day. First, during the drill portion, she showed some ball skill and was able to attack either direction, while making shots from each of three levels. As they got into competitive games, she was again accurate from the perimeter, but she also showed a nice little burst to the basket and used her length to finish over and around defenders. She could be a Varsity contributor right away.

Cora has an advanced skillset for a younger frontline prospect with her height, and she showed that throughout each portion of the morning. She can handle it a little in transition, change directions when pressured, and she sees the floor well. Additionally, she has touch to the 3-point line, plus she is willing to move to the low block and use her height/length to score over smaller defenders. As she gets stronger, she could become a real handful for opponents.

Every weekend there is a player who steps up who I've never seen, whether it be because they are from a remote location, maybe they are younger, or another reason, and Monday that was Kylie. She showed a well-rounded game. She has nice length, she's a solid North/South athlete, and she showed the ability to knock down a rhythm jumper from the perimeter and put it on the deck one to two dribbles and get somewhere productively.

Journie has already begun putting together a reputation as one of North Central Indiana's better 2030 prospects. She plays a little 16U & 15U for the [program_tooltip program_id='712570' first='Indiana's' last='Best'] program, and it has helped her understand how to play with a bit more urgency, value each possession more, and play stronger with the basketball in her hands. She is shooting it consistently from the perimeter, but she is also a strong, aggressive driver who can get to the rim and finish.
