The second weekend of June was another live period – and when this year's SC Live Team Camp took place. Riverview Park in North Augusta was once again the site for all of the festivities and the number of teams that were on hand read like a who's who of notables from across the state.

We at Prep Girls Hoops were also on hand for the second day of the three-day get-together. We begin our recap of this weekend's happenings with a look at a few of the rising seniors that turned in impressive performances.

In terms of rising seniors, Tessner could be one of the more underrated prospects among the state's 2026 class. She may be listed at 5-foot-7 but is one of the taller standouts on this team. Tessner can operate as either a one or a two guard and showcases her shooting guard skills with an effective long-range shot. She is a playmaker on either end of the floor as evidenced by superb interior play – particularly on the defensive end of the floor. Attempt to score on the interior on Tessner and a blocked shot is more likely than not. As a veteran, she will certainly be one of the on-court leaders for 2A Blacksburg in 2025-26.

We at Prep Girls Hoops have extensively chronicled Turner's career and her rise up the Palmetto State's girls basketball ranks. From her travel career which included stints with SC Rebels and [program_tooltip program_id='713005' first='Upward' last='Stars'] to her high school accomplishments with 5A Division 1 Byrnes, Turner is a reason why Byrnes is a team to beat in this state. The bread and butter of her game is what she gets accomplished in the interior. As effective a scorer and a rebounder as she is, she also has no problems working hard to convert on those high-percentage attempts close to the basket. Turner can corral offensive rebounds and has no issues drawing contact to get to the free throw line.

Byrnes can particularly be a tough team to contend with in the interior. When a team has a talented frontcourt force such as Johnson, it can give the Rebels a noteworthy matchup advantage in the interior. Johnson is a consistent double-double possibility on a game-by-game basis as evidenced by her averaging 10.8 rebounds and 10.6 points per game this past season. Listed at 5-foot-11, she has had a travel career that has included stints with SC Rebels and [program_tooltip program_id='713005' first='Upward' last='Stars']. As difficult as it is to contain Johnson on offense, it may be even more of a task on the defensive side of the floor.

There is a reason why the veteran star from 4A North Augusta is among the top players in the 2026 class. We have chronicled her career extensively at Prep Girls Hoops from when she began her high school career with the Yellow Jackets as a seventh grader and when she played in a 4A state championship game as an eighth grader. Grant is another who displayed she is ready to finish her high school career with an exclamation point. It is well-documented how tough and effective she can be in the painted area, but Grant displayed a willingness to try her hand at the 3-point shot as well.

Basketball is not the only athletic discipline McCorkle thrives in as she is also a participant in the track and field realm. McCorkle is a rising senior and combines her veteran guard status with veteran guard instincts. Her scoring capabilities are complimented by her ball distributing attributes which can put her teammates in spots to make plays. If a team on offense makes even the slightest of mistakes with McCorkle close, it can become an offensive possession for her team. McCorkle was a major reason why 3A Orangeburg-Wilkinson concluded the 2024-25 season with a record of 15-7.

The 2025-26 version of 3A Orangeburg-Wilkinson will likely be a team that places plenty of emphasis on veteran guard play. Cleckley will be a key part of what the Bruins hope will be another winning equation. She was the team's leading point-getter from last season and one way she gets the job done is via effective 3-point shooting. Attacking the basket is another one of Cleckley's strengths as she knows how to read defenses and find lanes to the rim. A 5-foot-5 guard, Cleckley averaged 10.1 points in 2024-25 for the Bruins. Her athletic career has also included softball alongside hoops.
