North has already seen one of its marquee seniors commit last month. Most recently, Williams made her collegiate intentions known when she announced at an event that she will be at USC-Salkehatchie following this season. The addition of Williams to the 1A Eagles after transferring from 5A Division 1 Sumter has paid massive dividends for the team this season. She has played in 21 games for North and is averaging 15.7 points, 7.6 rebounds and 2.9 steals per contest. In the most recent 1A coaches' poll, North is ranked second. The Eagles have built an overall record of 18-4 and have only one loss (Ridge Spring-Monetta) in its region.

Here is a commitment that actually took place in early January during the winter break. In late September, Thomas landed an offer from SC State and she declared her commitment to the in-state Division I HBCU in January. She has put together an illustrious career during her time at 5A Division 1 Blythewood which included winning last season's state championship. Thomas also recently reached the 2,000-point plateau for her high school career. Through the 22 games she has played this season, Thomas has averaged a double-double of 22.2 points and 11.6 rebounds plus four assists and 2.2 steals per game.

Here is another commitment that took place last month. The Bengals of 5A Division 1 Blythewood has been known the past several seasons for its senior big three. With Williams announcing her commitment to USC-Aiken, this means all three are set to begin their college journeys following the conclusion of the 2025-26 season. Williams has averaged 15points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 2.8 steals in the 22 games she has played for the Bengals this season. Blythewood, which won last year's 5A Division 1 state crown, is 18-4 and undefeated in its region. The Bengals were ranked second in the most recent 5A Division 1 coaches' poll. Its Senior Day is sure to be one of the more emotional and ballyhooed across the state – especially considering where the program was just a few short years ago.

A theme is developing with top-tier prospects electing to remain in-state for their college careers. Owens continues that theme when she announced that she will take her talents to Lander following this season with 5A Division 2 Greenville. Owens led the Red Raiders to an Upper State finals berth last season and is in search of more as the 2025-26 campaign concludes. Owens is not only committing to Lander for basketball but for track as well. She has averaged 9.2 points, 7.6 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.5 steals per game this season. The Red Raiders earned a ranking of seventh in the most recent 5A Division 2 coaches' poll.

The Stags of 5A Division 2 Berkeley won its first-ever state championship last season and are a formidable threat to repeat the feat this season. Gray has once again been an integral part of the Stags' success and she signed her letter of intent to play at Spartanburg Methodist College following her swan song season as a Stag. It occurred at a signing day event this past Wednesday. Berkeley was ranked fourth in the most recent coaches' poll of 5A Division 2 squads. Gray has averaged 7.1 points and 1.5 steals per game this season. She is one of three seniors that comprise Berkeley's 2026 graduating class.

McCray's high school career with 4A A.C. Flora commenced as an eighth grader and is soon nearing its conclusion. Once that takes place, McCray will depart from Forest Acres and take her talents to Prince George's County, Maryland – Richard Bland College, to be exact. McCray is one of three team co-captains on this season's Falcons assembling that has compiled an overall record of 12-8 plus a 6-3 Region 3-AAAA mark. She has averaged 13.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.7 steals per contest while playing in all 20 games in 2025-26. A.C. Flora is another school certain to have a very ballyhooed Senior Day given who is set to depart from the Falcons' nest.
