Baptist Prep has a pair of star 2026 guards who are expected to ball out this coming year, one of whom is [player_tooltip player_id='459085' first='Makensie' last='Moore'].

Moore is a deadly scorer who has already eclipsed 1,300 points in her career and has received a lot of interest from colleges. She is a master with the ball in her hands, scrambling defenses with her handles and being able to create a shot against any defender.

Moore can hit any shot, contested or wide open, from three, mid-range, or in the paint. She is what I consider a "phone booth scorer," which essentially means she can create space from her defender when she is working with a limited surface area. Moore is also skilled enough to create space with just a couple of dribbles.

Despite the collegiate attention, [player_tooltip player_id='459085' first='Makensie' last='Moore'] is still underrated. Baptist Prep can be a scary team in the 3A classification if she plays the way she has been.

[player_tooltip player_id='876322' first='Kylah' last='Pearcy'] is another highly-skilled scoring guard playing on a contender in her respective classification.

Pearcy is a shot-creator who can scorch defenses with her shooting, whether off the dribble or the catch. Her 3-point shooting is a thing of beauty for Greenwood fans, and a horrible sight to see for the opposition.

If Pearcy gets going from outside, the game is over. She proved that against 5A competition this past season, as well as against teams at other levels. If the defense decides that it is a good idea to close out on her perimeter shots, then she can simply drive past them and finish in the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id='876322' first='Kylah' last='Pearcy'] is expected to have another strong season with the Lady Bulldogs, and I think college scouts will start coming out to more of her games in the near future.

She dominated with Baptist Prep and now she is dominating with the CyFair Elite. [player_tooltip player_id='465929' first='Cydney' last='Sanders'] is a special player who makes her mark on both sides of the ball every night.

Sanders is best known for her scoring ability, but first, I want to talk about her defense. Baptist Prep's star guard does everything right on the defensive end: she gets on the floor after loose balls, she plays the passing lanes, and she plays hounding defense for all 32 minutes. Sanders also has high IQ on that end, drawing charges and tricking the opposition into making poor decisions.

On the other side of the ball, Sanders will make you pay if you leave her open. She is a great outside shooter, especially off the catch. She has also shown at the high school and AAU levels that she can take her defender off the dribble and score down low.

[player_tooltip player_id='465929' first='Cydney' last='Sanders'] is going to have another great season with Baptist Prep. College scouts, get off your behinds and go watch this Lady Eagle team, they are truly special.

For those who are not aware, I have written about [player_tooltip player_id='876288' first='Brooklyn' last='Owens'] recently. In that article, I chose Owens as the preseason favorite to be the top player in Arkansas County. Though Arkansas County is small, this region features some solid talent, but if I am saying Owens is the best of them all, you better believe she is ranked pretty high.

Owens is expected to continue to be Stuttgart's primary scorer in 2025-26, especially after the Lady Ricebirds graduated most of their other starters and rotational pieces. Nevertheless, Owens is a proven bucket-getter, averaging 16.3 points per game during her junior season.

Owens is more than a scorer, of course. She rebounds the ball well, finds ways to get her teammates involved, and plays exceptional defense. Opposing point guards are not safe when dribbling around Owens, as she will not hesitate to swipe the ball away if you show it to her.

[player_tooltip player_id='876288' first='Brooklyn' last='Owens'] is going to be a great college basketball player, as she already holds multiple Division I offers. Until then, she will continue to terrorize the 4A-6.

As many of you probably know, I was the play-by-play commentator for Little Rock Central High School girls' basketball this past season. I got to see [player_tooltip player_id='876286' first='Katie' last='Fimple'] hoop in person twice, and each time I could feel Central fans stressing out whenever she put up a shot.

Fimple is a lethal shooter, especially off the catch. She has a high-arching jumper, and she is able to hit 3-pointers and mid-range shots against just about any defender. Her shooting composure is impressive, as she is not bothered by closeouts or defenders with a long reach.

Fimple proves her worth on the defensive end as well, forcing turnovers left and right, causing havoc for the opposition. With her quickness, she can beat an opposing player to any spot on the floor, cutting off players from the basket or preventing an opponent from getting a shot off in space.

[player_tooltip player_id='876286' first='Katie' last='Fimple'] will be tasked with more next season. If she takes that next step up, she will raise her stock.

The primary job opposing defenses should have is to not let [player_tooltip player_id='549973' first='Stevie' last='Tanner'] see a shot go in. If she sees a make, then it is game over.

Tanner is a microwave scorer, meaning if she sees that first shot go in the basket, she is going to have a very good outing. She can hit shots from the outside, mid-range, and from the interior. Tanner can finish through traffic and hit jumpers with a hand in her face.

Dardanelle's star had some masterful outings during her junior season, scoring 33 against Western Yell County, 28 against Huntsville, and hitting 7 3-pointers against the 3A state runner-up, Dover, just to name a few.

[player_tooltip player_id='549973' first='Stevie' last='Tanner'] has already hit the 1,000-point mark in her career, and I doubt she is through any time soon. Keep up with this dynamic scorer.

[player_tooltip player_id='876333' first='Claire' last='Citty'] put together a great junior campaign with Harding Academy, and I am betting that she will do it again as a senior.

Citty averaged 18.9 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 3.1 steals per game during 2024-25, leading a strong Lady Wildcat team. She is at her best when attacking the basket and scoring inside, but she can pull up from the mid-range or closer and knock down a jumper.

Citty is also a threat to start cooking from beyond the arch. She has a quick release and can hit shots with a hand in her face. In addition to her high-octane scoring, she can do basically everything else on the floor. Citty makes plays for others, rebounds the ball and starts the break, and defends the opposition's best guards and forwards.

[player_tooltip player_id='876333' first='Claire' last='Citty'] is one of the best guards in the state for a variety of reasons. Keep an eye on this Lady Wildcat.

Again, the 2026 class is loaded with talent. Even outside of the top 10, there are still players with college basketball potential. I cannot wait to see what this coming season has in store for these incoming seniors.
