Coach Laura Harper and her impressive staff put together two camp sessions over the weekend that drew 65 players in each one. I had a chance to cover the second session which was very lively and energetic overall. Coach Harper and Coach Lorie Khalil kept the pressure on the players to keep their energy up during drills and the games, so my featured players will be the ones who did that.

This was a pretty solid day for Kai. She competed at a high level, made some good, accurate passes and got some buckets. She was in the middle of the action at all times and showed some toughness and a nose for the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='601520' first='Allison' last='Snyder'], Glen Ridge, [program_tooltip program_id='714646' first='New' last='Jersey Panthers'], 2026, Shooting Guard

Allison came out firing and knocked down two long threes right after the scrimmages started. She was one of the top shooters at the camp and when defenders closed out on her she aggressively attacked and made good decisions with the ball.

Sam Donovan, Edgewood, [program_tooltip program_id='712942' first='Team' last='Takeover'], 2026, Point Guard

Sam was one of the top 3 point guards in the gym. She showed off her court vision and made some spectacular passes. She kept her dribble alive and really looked to set up her teammates which is not always the case in these camp settings. She rebounded well for a guard and made some shots. She has picked up some D1 offers recently.

[player_tooltip player_id='1005175' first='Laila' last='Robinson'], St. Timothy's, Team Thrill, 2027 Small Forward

Laila showed some versatility in her game with some good defensive sequences and the ability to knock down shots. She has good length and quick hands and used those things to her advantage. She had a couple of nice blocks and some deflections. Her jumper is a bit unorthodox, but she knocked down a couple threes.

Zahara Saintyl, Uniondale High, Level Up LI, 2026 Shooting Guard

Very strong day for Zahara. She has a college build already and showed off a nice shooting touch from the field and the free throw line. She's smooth and fluid but showed that she can bang as well.
