The Windmill City Weekend is, in my opinion, the best high school live event in the country. Year after year, it brings out the top programs from across Illinois... and this year's lineup might be the strongest we've seen yet. Below are a few teams I'll be locked in on throughout the weekend.

TRINITY - There is a lot of talent in this Trinity team to be recognized, and when the coaching behind the talent is just as good, they could go all three days with only 1 loss on the board. Players to keep an eye on: [player_tooltip player_id='899508' first='Chloe' last='Santos'], first='Zaria' last='Goins'], [player_tooltip player_id='624979' first='Armante' last='Dambrauskas'], [player_tooltip player_id='743596' first='Destiny' last='Sacluti'], and [player_tooltip player_id='1219952' first='Jazmyn' last='Ratliff']

NAZARETH ACADEMY - Nazareth is coming into this season with only one key senior loss. Their young core remains intact, and with them adding one of the best incoming freshmen in the state, a chance to get back downstate is not far-fetched. Returning starters [player_tooltip player_id='513525' first='Stella' last='Sakalas'], [player_tooltip player_id='728004' first='Sophia' last='Towne'], [player_tooltip player_id='514892' first='Lyla' last='Shelton'], [player_tooltip player_id='728005' first='Samantha' last='Austin'], and incoming freshman [player_tooltip player_id='884801' first='Mia' last='Gage'] will be a huge issue for teams to deal with. As well as [player_tooltip player_id='743626' first='Molly' last='Moore'].

DUNLAP - There is no program with a better lineup of players from the 2028 class than Dunlap. The three main focal points all bring something different to the floor, and they are beyond a handful to deal with. [player_tooltip player_id='867871' first='Amiyah' last='Gulley'], [player_tooltip player_id='867873' first='Keniya' last='Todd'], and [player_tooltip player_id='799184' first='Keyaira' last='Haywood'] are easily three of the best players in their class, and that will be on full display at this event.

BENET ACADEMY - This program is always in the running as a top team every year, and this upcoming season will probably be no different. The core of the team is still here, and even with losing two key seniors, the young players are more than ready to step up. [player_tooltip player_id='626814' first='Ava' last='Mersinger'], [player_tooltip player_id='407517' first='Bridget' last='Rifenburg'], and [player_tooltip player_id='419726' first='Emma' last='Briggs'] will be leading this team, but their complementary players and their incoming freshmen will be a big plus as well.

DEPAUL COLLEGE PREP - A program that has an up-and-coming roster, with a strong coaching staff behind it. DCP has a strong setup for a successful season. Two strong players in the post ([player_tooltip player_id='625058' first='Grace' last='Lee'] & [player_tooltip player_id='663975' first='Kaitlin' last='Totaro']) and a young player in [player_tooltip player_id='874663' first='Destinie' last='Roe'] that could be proven to be a legit standout in her class over time.
