[player_tooltip player_id='867471' first='Ashleigh' last='Amble'] comes in as the tallest prospect in the state of Iowa at the high school level in this Update between 6'4 and 6'5. Amble has a solid base to build on over time. She is still extremely raw on both sides of the floor but her size helps her control a lot of the things that happen in the middle of the painted area's. Each night she puts up note worthy numbers during the Winter season with her high school team and I'm hoping that trend continues into the collegiate levels one day. This is someone with a lot of interest from different programs around the Midwest at the next level. Now it's all about finding her fit.

[player_tooltip player_id='656292' first='Zoe' last='Allen'] has sparked a lot of interest these past two months with her [program_tooltip program_id='712595' first='Kingdom' last='Hoops'] AAU team on the road. Allen, a 6'1 PF, has a eye opening combination of height, touch, coordination, balance, and knowledge of the game that will continue to be an impact until she decided to hang up her kicks for good. She moves really well for being 6'1, doing all of her work early in possessions and that shows. She can also work with her back to the basket on either side of the block offensively. If you give her too much time and space, it's usually going to be a good attempt. All in all, Allen will have a chance to compete at the next level following this upcoming Winter at Williamsburg. She just needs to stay locked in and the rest will be history.

I am VERY interested in seeing [player_tooltip player_id='582808' first='Bailey' last='Boeve'] return to the hardwood this Winter with her Hinton High School team. Hinton, who is coming off of a 2A State Title thanks to [player_tooltip player_id='524262' first='Sydney' last='Doeschot'] (2025 2A State MVP) & company, is going to bring back their main producer from years past. Boeve injured herself early on last season, keeping her out for the entire year. I thought that factor, along with her already being a Creighton Women's V-Ball commit, might keep her out for her Senior year as well but now I don't think so. I think she returns and Hinton has a chance to go back2back. They ran the table a year ago, they return everyone, and Boeve is now back with the squad. This seems to be shaping up for a very promising year for Hinton but we will see. As for Boeve, her future is already locked in but I'm sure she would love a State Title in 2A Bball once more before it's over.

Forest City is another group that I'll be watching this Winter pretty closely. They return several talented players out of their area, who are all going to make an impact at the Varsity level before you know it. Someone at the C/PF position, that will be a main piece for them this season is [player_tooltip player_id='1091996' first='Jenna' last='Dontje']. Dontje comes in right at 6'0 and she is talented. She can handle her own by the hoop with her size or she can stretch things out while screening on the outside and rolling toward the bucket. This AAU season she has been doing respectable with her [program_tooltip program_id='866654' first='Iowa' last='United'] team each contest, leading them in a lot of statistical categories here and there. This upcoming year could be a big one for everyone at Forest City if they approach it the correct way.

I haven't seen too much of [player_tooltip player_id='782509' first='Kennedy' last='Brant'] this Spring but from what I have seen, she is continuing to put in work in her off-season to be the best athlete she can be. Brant has been someone we have spoken about for years now. We always seem to see her on the State floor in one way or another when the end of the year comes around and I wouldn't be shocked if that is the case once again this upcoming season. Brant works hard at the PF position and she is pretty versatile. She can play the 3 or 4 with ease. It's just whatever her team might need out of her. Which isn't a bad thing. This demonstrates she could compete in multiple systems in college, opening up her chances to compete at the next level, sooner rather than later.
