EYBL Session III: Eye-Catching Performers

Here's a look at some of the players who caught my eye at EYBL Session 3 in Louisville, Kentucky.    Avery displayed excellent ball-handling skills and the ability to create off the dribble, constantly putting pressure on the defense by attacking the basket. She absorbed contact and still finished strong at the rim, or got free throw opportunities with her aggressiveness. A tough competitor with a never-back-down attitude, Avery brings intensity and determination every time she steps on the floor.     Ella had her fingerprints all over the game, making impact plays on both ends. She grabbed a strong offensive rebound and finished with a putback, then knocked down multiple threes with a smooth shooting stroke. In the second half, she scored back-to-back buckets and consistently found herself in the right place at the right time. A smart, high-effort player who knows how to make winning plays.     Tamia has an outstanding blend of court vision and passing ability. She kept her head up, found teammates running the floor, and delivered precise passes that led to easy buckets. Tamia dropped multiple dimes in transition, showcasing her ability to create scoring opportunities. On top of her playmaking, she also knocked down a timely wing three, proving she can step up and score when needed.     Piper played well in a hard-fought win during the 2 PM game on Sunday. She attacked the rim effectively going left and kept the offense flowing by moving the ball and making sure everyone was involved. Despite being a smaller guard, Piper plays fearless! Skying for rebounds, boxing out on every shot, and embracing physicality. She's athletic, a skilled passer and ball handler, and makes smart decisions that impact the game in many ways.     Kennedy brought great energy on defense and showed her ability to finish in transition, getting out and running the floor with purpose. She's a vocal leader who communicates well and flat-out competes every possession. Offensively, she drilled a three, drove to the rack hard, and made the most of her trips to the free-throw line. Kennedy also showed good court vision, delivering a nice kick-out to an open shooter. She plays with an edge and leads by example on both ends of the floor.
