The end of July marks the overall end to summer club season. And with that end I get to take a breath and select my all-summer ball teams that are drawn from only players I have seen in person. I saw a large number of prospects over the past few months at events (Prep Girls Hoops, MAYB, I-35 Shootout), a club tryout and a team camp so making my picks was far from easy. Kicking things off are point and shooting guards from the incoming senior class.

Point Guards

[player_tooltip player_id='827717' first='Delaney' last='Larson'], 5'7", Manhattan - Larson scored major points with me due to how composed she remained against substantial full court pressure in a loss to a very talented, very quick and fast team. In the back court her head was always up looking to deliver a strong pass and she consistently created well in the half court. She always dribbled with purpose.

[player_tooltip player_id='881001' first='Jakayla' last='Davis'], 5'6" St. Marys Colgan - The 2025 2A player of the year showed every indication that her game continues to improve. Very fast and extremely quick she is nearly as dangerous on the defensive end as she is with the ball in her hands. Unselfish and creative she is a terrific scorer and credible perimeter shooter.

[player_tooltip player_id='544018' first='Faith' last='McCallop'], 5'4", Piper - The Pirate floor leader continued to show her elite skill set on both ends of the floor. What set her apart was her on-the-ball full-court defense. She is arguably the quickest, most fundamentally sound point in the class.

Shooting Guards

[player_tooltip player_id='719104' first='Addysen' last='Patrick'], 5'5", Moundridge - Patrick showed that when she is locked in the bucket gets filled up from the perimeter. In transition, dribble-up, spot-up and other situations she will knock down shots with range and from all over the perimeter. Also notable is how well she boxes out. Patrick consistently finds someone to lay wood on and boxes with purpose. A big piece of the puzzle for the 2A defending champions.

[player_tooltip player_id='649149' first='Alex' last='Crouse'], 5'7"", St. Thomas Aquinas - While Crouse often will run the point she is absolutely tough working from the two spot. A confident, diverse talent Crouse showed strong speed and quickness working in full court situations with the ball and defending it. She knows how to score and because she is a serious threat from beyond the arc she exploits space off the dribble to get shots or the assist off the bounce.

[player_tooltip player_id='544021' first='Lainey' last='Peschka'], 5'6", Ellsworth - Peschka is a shooter who has a fairly quiet presence on the floor. And due to that defenses had a tendency to lose track of her this summer. Shooting it with range from all around the arc Peschka filled it up in bunches when she got loose. She should continue picking up 3A all-state and North Central Activities Association all-league honors
