Whether it was slipping into position for a rebound, making the extra pass out of the post, or stepping out for a short jumper, this group made some nice plays at the Flagler Prospect Camp. As with most camps, the camp showcased some shifty guards and a few deep range shooters, but these front court standouts reminded everyone that good post play was in the building. The college coaches recognized their solid play.

Emari Brown's (tangibles) were off the charts, but no surprise. She had a similar showing at the Camden County showcase in June where she stood out at the forward and guard positions. Brown is a highlight machine, blending superior athleticism, good footwork and the ability to make the abnormal look normal. She converted an array of shots, including a turnaround off an errant lob pass heading out of bounds. "What can Brown do for you," or better yet, "what can Brown do for Flagler?" That remains to be seen, but she definitely left an impression.

Janessa Horwitz brought toughness and purpose to the post. The Maryland transfer is set to make noise at New Smyrna Beach and help lead New Smyra's charge for Lakeland and State-Championship repeat. Horwitz's positioning, physicality, rebounding, and passing out of double teams were impressive. She also showed great mobility. Horwitz is ready for championship-level basketball in Florida and she may have just put the State of Florida on notice.

Brynlee Hamblin was a "beast" on the interior, using strength and positioning to dominate. She finished through contact and rebounded with purpose. Hamblin played well on both ends of the court and coaches were "overly" impressed with her size, physicality, and production at the camp.

[player_tooltip player_id='974196' first='Trinity' last='Dinkins'] blended defensive instincts with scoring touch. At the Flagler camp she showed why she is one of the top young Forwards in the 2028 class. She excelled in skill drills before the scrimmages and once the scrimmages started her versatility emerged. Dinkins blocked shots, altered others, and converted around the basket. She is a young two-way player who is the leader of a team with eight 2028s (Orange Park). With all the youth - she spearheaded a District Championship and led her squad to other accomplishments in their Freshman season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1279681' first='Veda' last='Murphy'] used her length and bounce to attack the rim and dominate the offensive glass. She got to the rim often and cleaned up missed shots. The athletic Murphy definitely has something “extra” and that allows her to finish in traffic and against taller players - and with flare and creativity. Murphy has the tools to become a real problem inside and on the perimeter. She was very impressive and showed a lot of skill and talent - as an incoming Freshman.
