I have a few more articles to write this month before we move into September. We will continue to highlight players whom I would like to shine more light on to end the month. I also want to put out a reminder: if you would like me to work on a preview article for your program for the upcoming high school season, please reach out to me so we can iron out the details of how it would work.

The Bay Port forward is one of the more talented post players in the Northeast portion of the state. She is a physical player who can play with her back to the basket and has the tools to be a double-double threat whenever she steps on the floor. Thompson had a solid first season with the Pirates, helping them compete at the top of the FRCC for the first time in some time. Her ability to control the paint on both ends of the floor will be vital for Bay Port this winter.

[player_tooltip player_id='1162239' first='Tori' last='Justmann']

The Marshall guard is a player who holds herself to a standard that most players in the country couldn't reach. She is a perfectionist, which shows on the floor. Anytime she has an open look at the basket, she expects to make it. Now, like any highly competitive sport, failure is a part of the process, and she understands that. However, her approach to the game is something I admire and believe will help her be successful at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='882565' first='Lexi' last='Gruman']

The Random Lake guard missed her junior season due to a knee injury. However, she is a player who had a standout first season of high school basketball. Gruman has proven to be a productive lead guard and has the potential to reach an even higher level as the focal point of the Rams on the offensive end of the floor. I was high on her before her injury, and am eager to see what she does when she returns.

[player_tooltip player_id='1227459' first='Savanna' last='Miller']

The Port Washington wing is a player who surpassed any expectations of her this past summer. Miller proved what she can do as a floor spacer, and her consistency. Miller will have some college coaches watching her during the high school season. She will have multiple options to play basketball at the next level if she chooses to continue playing in college.
