Put That On Repeat: Making The Deep Run

Continuing the Put That On Repeat series talking about schools that went far in the playoffs last year, there's no way we can do this series without talking about Hoggard and Stuart Cramer.  Both schools had an impressive season and (fingers crossed) will see their stars continue to wear their jerseys next season.    AK Chance has had a strong past year with both her teams performing at a high level truly doing a little bit of everything for her team.  She gets to the basket being aggressive with the ball, and she knows how to attack the gaps making defenders collapse to get the pass to her teammates.  She reads the floor well knowing when to roll off of screens for the pass, and she follows shots going after rebounds.  She keeps her motor running high on defense moving all around the court looking to deflect the pass to cause some problems for her opponents.       [player_tooltip player_id='686460' first='Tristan' last='Shivers'] is a special point guard playing consistently and composing herself no matter what is going on in the game.  Her ability to use hesitation moves to blow by her defenders is fun to watch as she finishes at the rim or she makes the right pass to her teammates for their own points.  She uses many types of fakes throwing off her defenders and getting the open look hitting her jumpers from all over the court.     Ella Jones does well sliding around the perimeter opening up some space staying ready to show off her range off the pass.  She's a tough defender getting in the way of her opponents and doing whatever it takes to get the possession again for her team.  She can handle the ball pushing these steals up the other end of the court.     Avery Fitzgerald is an asset on all areas of the court, especially on defense with her ability to guard a range of players.  She can handle herself around the perimeter knocking the ball away from guards or step inside to handle business on the block.  She's a tough rebounder on both ends, and she is sure to use her length to block some shots protecting the basket.  On offense she can score on multiple levels even setting herself up around the perimeter to hit her shot.     I still randomly think about the 3A State Championship game and am mind blown that [player_tooltip player_id='406923' first='Oshauna' last='Holland'] scored 49 points, but how fitting is it that she decided to commit to Wake Forest after that performance on their court.  Holland is certainly a special athlete on track to leave her legacy as one of the all-time leading scorers in NCHSAA history because she can score from anywhere off the dribble creating her own space or off the pass.  She knows how to make the open lane as she attacks the basket, and she has a quick stop pulling up for jumpers losing her defenders.  She plays well on both ends of the court knocking the ball away taking the steal the other direction.     [player_tooltip player_id='890646' first='Lauren' last='Humphrey'] has really seen an influx of college interest this summer and rightfully so with her talent and size making her a versatile option on the basketball court.  She does well taking care of business on the block showing off her footwork to score some points, and she can battle against anyone to grab rebounds on both ends of the court.  She can step outside flashing in the paint getting the pass and going to work scoring on multiple levels.
