Here are a few athletes out of Nebraska that have either recently committed or they have recently been offered to compete at the next level following their impressive AAU seasons this Spring/Summer. Every player listed has shown off their skill-set over the years with their varsity high school team and that has helped them prove to recruiters that they have what it takes to suit up following their high school careers.

[player_tooltip player_id='820519' first='Eleanor' last='Griffin'] of Lincoln Southwest High School just committed to D2-Wayne State this week, locking in her future at the collegiate level. Griffin is a prospect coming in at 6'0, who would be considered a SG or a CG in some offenses. With her natural height she can also take her matchup into the Post and dominant with her length but she is versatile enough to be able to step out to the three point line and kick down some buckets too at a higher rate than most others. I'm not sure how Griffin fits into the new system at Wayne State but following this Winter, we will see.

[player_tooltip player_id='502331' first='Hadley' last='Walsh'] is another individual out of the 2026 Class in Nebraska that just happened to recently commit. Walsh is an interesting player on the hardwood. Her natural size at right around 6'0 puts her as a 3/4 in most systems but with her guard-like skill set, she can also move to the perimeter and make some special things happen from the outside with her vision and passing. Within an offense, when you place Walsh in the middle, she can be the orchestrator as to where people need to go and where she needs to pass the rock too. It reminds me of Jokic from the NBA. She can catch on the free throw line and make anything happen with the ball in her possession. That's not something you can say about everyone out there.

[player_tooltip player_id='747374' first='Izzie' last='Galligan'] is off the board to Rockhurst College out of Illinois. If you know anything about this program at the next level, you know that they love to recruit shooters that are automatic from deep and that's what Galligan is. She can light the nets on first in a hurry, she can take her defender off the dribble if need be, and she can impact other parts of the game like defending and rebounding as well when given the opportunities. This is someone that should play sooner rather than later within this system. If she can show

We created a piece to start August speaking on some uncommitted prospects out of the 2026 Class. Someone that we mentioned, who was offered shortly after by Doane (NE) was [player_tooltip player_id='820515' first='McKenna' last='Powell'] from Lincoln North Star High School. Powell is a knock-down shooter throughout her career. She can catch and light the nets on first with how well she can shoot the rock from all over. If anyone happens to over-play her, she can also put the ball on the floor and get to a more favorable spot for an offense attempt. Whether that be at the bucket or in the mid-range. There is a lot of promise here. Not everyone is a 6'0 SG so that will definitely help Powell in her recruitment.
