After cranking out my 2026 and 2027 teams I turn to who made my 2025 Summer Ball All-Kansas 2028 Team. As with the other teams only players I saw in person were considered. Let's start off with the point and shooting guards.

Point Guards

[player_tooltip player_id='1059097' first='Reese' last='Heinrich'], 5'1", Southeast of Saline - The floor leader is speedy with the ball including on the finish. A hardworking one-on-one defender, she is important component of the Trojan running game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1310318' first='A.J.' last='Rieff'], 5'6", Hesston - Rieff handles well in transition, scores the mid-range jumper and will likely backup at the point. The Swathers will again be among the top 3A teams.

Shooting Guards

[player_tooltip player_id='898726' first='Evie' last='Banks'], 5'9", Manhattan - The Indians are loaded with talented, experienced guards and I expect Banks to be in the thick of the playing time competition given that a lot of bodies are run in and out to maintain the pace played. Bringing height to the position I anticipate Banks will be found at a variety of spots including inside. She is a scoring threat at all three levels, releases with elevation in the paint and uses strong one-dribble moves off rebounds to get challenged buckets.

[player_tooltip player_id='1268069' first='Cami' last='Collum'], Baldwin - Baldwin is a good shooter with solid speed. She reads and exploits defenders off the bounce well. She will continue to be important piece of a 14 win Bulldog team that lost only two seniors.

[player_tooltip player_id='890255' first='Taryn' last='Goetz'], 5'6", Southeast of Saline - Given her slender frame and quiet nature defenses often lost track of Goetz. And frequently it cost them. A very good spot up shooter in transition and out of half court offense Goetz uses her solid IQ to position herself for interior catches and scores as well as offensive boards. She has good length and quickness to challenge passing lanes, challenges interior looks and challenge shots. She will be an important scorer for the 3A Trojans.
