Spotlight on Up-and-Coming High School Basketball Players

We have new freshies as the 2029 crew steps onto campus. This is an exciting time of the year as new kids are getting into the high school realm of things. Don't get me wrong, some kids hate going back to school, but for me, it's the opportunity to have new kids to cover over the next four years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>With that being said, we are starting to build our watch list, and throughout the year, kids in the class will be covered, as well as there will be a ranking for them. Plays with such tenacity, she is going to battle tooth and nail for every inch. She is a shifty guard who can attack downhill, but will also pull it from 3. She facilitates well and is willing to do whatever it takes to help her ball club. Has a nice jumper that she showcases around the elbows and short corners. However, she will attack the rim with a shot fake and hit her opponent with a counter move, i.e., step-through or step-back shot. She is a shot blocker who also contributes on the boards. This kid can stretch the floor and play along the perimeter, but will also step inside and get the job done. She runs the floor well, scores in transition, and finishes in the painted area. Had a solid summer where she grew tremendously as she battled stiff competition. She gives opponents that work, and she can do so in multiple ways. She is a 3-level scoring threat who plays with such a motor. She has handles, can shoot lights out, and utilizes her quick first step to get paint touches. She competes on the defensive end as well. Blocks shots, rebounds the basketball. She is an aggressive human being who is going to give you that work. She can utilize her handles to attack gaps or dial it up from deep and knock down the 3 ball. I love her ability to compete on the defensive end. She gets her hands on the ball: steals, deflections, block shots, rebounds. This kid is one tough prospect and will be a big-time contributor for the Lady Tigers program.<br><br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
