Kentucky Freshman Showcase: Team 3 Evals

This article wraps up my coverage of my assigned teams from the Freshman Showcase. Steve will be covering Teams 2, 5, and 6, but I'll still have individual write-ups on players from those teams over the next few days, so stay tuned! Here are my evaluations from Team 3.    Parker Anne is a brilliant shooter the type that must be accounted for every time she's on the floor. She buried back-to-back triples against Team 4 in the first 5v5 game and earlier proved she can make an impact defensively too, coming up with a big-time block during the 3v3 game I watched.     AZ is a long and athletic guard with high upside. She's a lockdown perimeter defender who knows how to guard and keep the ball in front of her. She likes to attack the basket and has no problem finishing through contact. Also has a nice shooting touch from the outside. She's a player that coaches should put on their radar soon rather than later.     Bailey is an extremely versatile player who excels in more than one area, a true Swiss Army knife on the floor. She's a really good perimeter shooter, has the ability to guard multiple positions on defense, and rebounds the ball well on both ends.     Callie performed very well at the showcase and was everything I expected her to be. She played aggressively on offense, creating off the bounce, getting downhill, and finishing strong at the rim. She also showed off her range from three and played great on-ball defense.     I wasn't able to see as much of Justice as I did some of the other players, but in the game I did watch, she made a strong impression. She used her size and strength effectively to establish deep position on the low block and made herself available for entry passes. She also protected the basket on defense and ran the floor well.     At first glance, I didn't recognize Kyah and assumed she was from Tennessee, but when I checked the roster and saw she's a Kentucky kid, I immediately got excited. She has a great feel for the game at such a young age and looked confident running the offense as the primary ball handler for her team. Kyah knocked down a three from the wing and was active on defense, showing a willingness to compete on both ends of the floor.     Maci is a strong, athletic player who competes hard on every possession. She can create scoring opportunities for herself and her teammates on offense and is a versatile defender with strong instincts and awareness.     Lucy was the only Missouri player at the Kentucky Freshman Showcase. She has a solid frame, and her quick footwork combined with a soft shooting touch set her apart from other post players in attendance.     Chloe is a solid ball handler with a fluid shooting stroke from long range. She also brings a high level of activity and energy on the defensive end.
