Top Female Basketball Talents to Watch This Season

Kids are slowly getting into the grind of things as they not only get acclimated to a new calendar year, but also working out and getting shots up with their teammates. The love of the game drives individuals during times like these. Throughout our state, we have kids who are not only putting in that work but also attending camps and exposure events to showcase their talent and grab a couple of extra looks from scouts and collegiate coaches. When you are a hooper, technically, there is no downtime. You just work on your game in various ways: train, work out, study. Rinse and Repeat. To be a top-tier athlete, you have to invest in yourself.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I am excited about this upcoming year, just like all of you. This year, I know it will be filled with a lot of surprises as tons of squads have gotten better. It's evident in a lot of conversations I have had with collegiate coaches about how these next classes across this state will be special. There is something about this next wave of kids that has them super excited.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I wanted to mention some young ladies who I feel are going to have a big-time year this season as they gear up to compete with some of Tennessee's best. I know there are tons of other young ladies who are out there grinding as well. She can impact the game in so many ways. A selfless ballplayer who can feed the hot hand, but if she needs to be that girl who gets buckets, she can do that as well. She can put it on the floor to finish, knock down the 3 ball, and really locks up on the defensive end. I look forward to her being the captain of a talented Lady Tigers basketball club. I have always been impressed by how she can handle the rock as a big player and get up and down in the transition game. She can play along the perimeter or dominate the inside. She contributes on the boards, and her ability to block shots is crazy good. This season, she will be looking to fine-tune a lot of her skills as her club is on a quest to grab a championship. She is going to be a nice pick up for a program at the next level. She had a phenomenal year last year, where she was the leading catalyst that sparked a tremendous run deep into the tournament. This kid plays with infectious energy that vibrates throughout the program. She competes on both ends of the floor and is willing to do whatever to help her ball club win. She is a scoring threat from multiple spots on the floor, but also contributes in other phases of the game. This kid is tough, and when she is on the basketball floor, she commands everyone's attention. She is a heady ballplayer who can score it from all 3 levels. A tough defender, someone who is going to cause fits. I am impressed with how she approaches the game, bringing that dawg mentality into play, and she is just laser-focused throughout the game. She is a talented ballplayer who is making a name for herself. Look for her to jump on even more collegiate coaches' radars this upcoming year. A tough young lady who can fill it up from multiple spots on the floor. She can handle the rock, distribute the ball, and really contribute in multiple ways. She adds value to this GCA ball club in the fact that she can do so many things. This year, she is going to cook as she will not only benefit from a tough travel ball schedule, but the things she has done this offseason. Look for her to come out of the gates strong and receive some nice interest from school at the next level.
