2027 Player Rankings Update: Dawgs In The Top 50

When Hales limits her turnovers, she is very good as a leader at the PG position. She does everything that is asked of her in the terms of controlling pace of play, getting everyone around her orchestrated in their spots, and running her team's systems on both sides of the ball. She plays with an aggressive edge and she isn't afraid to use her physicality to get where she wants to go when someone else is happening to pressure her. Walkup plays with a lot of swag. She is very smooth in everything she does out on the floor. She moves effortlessly with the ball and that helps her kill her individual matchups. I haven't seen many that can stay in-front of Walkup in the open court once she gets downhill. She is just too crafty for only one player to defend so opposing teams usually bring help with another defender in some form. We should see Walkup put up big numbers this Winter. Storhoff is someone that jumps off the page with her playmaking ability when the ball is in her possession. She doesn't try to overcomplicate things and she doesn't try to force unneeded action that could lead to trouble. Instead, she takes what the defense gives her and that helps her standout as a top-notch producer. If you are a college coach looking for someone that plays with a chip on her shoulder but is still super calculated - look no further than Storhoff. She can GO. Vander Weerdt, a 6'1 Forward, received her first D1 offer prior to falling to injury. This offer came from UNI and speaks to the promise that Vander Weerdt has as a competitor. She is a prospect that moves really well for being 6'1. Those two things combined can take you a lot of places and when you add her coordination, soft touch, and knowledge of the game - you really start to see where UNI is coming from. I'm not sure that Vander Weerdt will make it back this Winter high school season but if not, she will be ready to roll come AAU Spring 2026.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
