We are coming off of a Spring/Sumer AAU season that just ended and now we have had the chance to see what prospects can do for their second year at the Varsity level, as well as for their AAU programs moving forward.

In this piece we highlight the Top Five for the 2028 Class prior to this Winter season. Each player brings a unique talent to the floor and they each possess the ability to compete at the next level if they so choose, if they aren't committed already.

[player_tooltip player_id='884234' first='Da'Nyla' last='Tatum'] moves differently than everyone one else out of this 2028 Class at this point in time. Tatum competes with great energy, a shifty handle, and an impressive ability to create to a very high rate for all of those around her. She is almost impossible to defend in the open court with how crafty she can be but she also tries to keep it simple whenever plausible. Tatum will lead Bellevue West once again this Upcoming Winter. If she can build on what she help set in place last Winter, they should see some ample success over the next few months.

We have received a lot of comments from coaching staff's and directors across the Country about how good [player_tooltip player_id='882863' first='Payton' last='Dolliver'] is as a basketball player. It seems like every week that Dolliver is on the road, I have a collegiate coach giving me a call about her leadership and playmaking ability. Not only can Dolliver make things happen when she needs too, she can also be the heart and soul of the team as a top-notch orchestrator. She knows where everyone is suppose to be at all times and she isn't afraid to hold anyone accountable, especially herself, when things don't go to plan. Like everyone out of this Class, If Dolliver can continue to get better over the next few years, she should be a D1 committed prospect before you know it.

Coming in at our #3 spot is CG - [player_tooltip player_id='882862' first='Alivia' last='Kuhn'] of Marion High School. Kuhn is slowly rounding out her game, more and more as she continues to grow in her play-style. When I first saw Kuhn, her offensive ability was obviously something that stood out. She is someone that can score at everyone offensive level that you can name with ease. It's pretty impressive but her defense is where I still have questions. Individually, she is solid. When it comes to team-defensive concepts, she is getting better and better as she grows. This Winter should answer a lot of questions that we have about Kuhn. If she starts off hot and doesn't look back, she could put together another record-setting season as a top rated 2028 throughout the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='884640' first='Aubrey' last='Carder'] of Millard South ended her AAU season on a tough note, losing the rest of her season due to a leg injury that is going to keep her out for a while but I don't think that changes the fact that she can bring a lot to the table for whoever she is playing with. Carder is a SG that stands out as a scorer and natural on the floor. When she competes, she always impacts the game on both ends with productive numbers, usually leading her team in a few positive statistical categories. I'm hoping that Carder can return to the lineup to end this upcoming Winter season with her high school program but if not - she will be ready for her next AAU season. That's for sure.

If [player_tooltip player_id='882864' first='Allie' last='John'] can play her natural position this upcoming Winter season, we should be in for a treat from the SF from Bennington. John stands at 6'1 now, she loves physical play down low, while also being versatile enough to step-out to the three point line to either screen and seal or to hit a jumper from deep. We really haven't had a chance to see John for a full, healthy season yet so hopefully that all changes over the next eight months. We are talking about someone who is a force to be reckoned with in the paint when she is motivated and her team's system works with her play-style so hopefully both of those things line up moving forward and we see her true potential for her upcoming Sophomore season.
