Quick in transition that has the speed to go coast to coast against a defense jogging back. Good defense on the passing lanes led to deflections and steals. On Saturday if the defender played behind her on the block, they had a difficult time. The most effective move was a dribble towards the middle coming back baseline with strong drop step. It was strong with good body control. Like dropping the hammer. If you denied the middle, she use a good up and under to score on the baseline.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tough defender on the block that used her lower body base giving up on ground on the post defense. Played the point guard position most of the time during 5/5 play. Good vision in the open floor transition with eyes up looking to advance the ball with the pass. I did like the way she pushed the ball on fastbreak not forcing it just taking what the defense gave her. Combo guard that can shoot the outside 3-pointer, but the mid-range game is what was impressive. Great hustler that did not mind getting in the mix for loose balls. Moved without the basketball cutting backdoor or relocating to open spots. Showing that she understands by moving she creates gaps and scoring opportunities for her teammates. I have seen Jaliana get hot before in previous showcases, so I am aware of her scoring abilities. As a shooter Kash has deep deep range. Big scoring threat when using a ball screen. Shooting capabilities off the screen makes her a guard that you must go over on ball screens. Off the dribble she is a very rhythm shooter that can quickly get into the shot on the bounce up. Strong downhill driver that used a nice euro step to avoid the charge. The height and physical strength shown in the paint are when scoring on putbacks. Off the ball she made nice cuts to the basket on the backside scoring easy layups.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A transfer from cross town Heritage Hall to Bishop McGuiness this season.
