I had a blast seeing so many of these players for the first time, and please remember, "on the court" progression is something I'm always looking to see, so KNOW YOUR WEAKNESSES and work on them. At some point, you should be able to tell what you need to add to your game, so here ya go

Thurmond punched her ticket in several areas off the top as I only saw a blur of her blowing by defenders from afar during the 3 on 3, yeah, I can cover multiple courts because I'm that good, yet she showed me she was better than I had heard about. She's a long and athletic guard, which is ALSO THE BASE, yet her change of direction, as well as being "shifty with the ball" kept the defender off balance for her to score off the dribble. Her body control after contact looked good, so did her court vision and jumper, step back included

Evans patiently sets the defender up using a deceptive first step to attack and score, yet one of the things I have enjoyed watching about her game is that she "plays within herself" which means she doesn't do things out of the ordinary to try and impress anyone. Her court vision looked good, so did her defense, yet she's not only creating her shot better, she's also creating spacing to get it off, and her "catch and shoot" was a problem for defenders

Gurrola traveled from Arkansas to showcase her skills, and seeing her effortlessly get by the defender, handing the ball while being pressured, told me a lot. Her crossover in traffic was among the best at the event, and so was her threading the needle to get her teammates' good looks, but she also showed the slight HEZ to attack and score. Her pull-up jumper was sweet, and she played solid defense

Kelley mixed it up nicely on the offensive end, and seeing her body control off the dribble and after contact was nice, yet so was her court vision, in the set, in transition, or while attacking the basket. She's heady, made good decisions, and didn't force anything, well, other turnovers by playing tight defense. She also dropped the jumper, "catch and shoot" included

Buss is also from Arkansas, and watching her versatility, at her size, had me smiling. She does the little things that many novice so-called evaluators don't see, like outrebounding taller players by getting positioning, and that turns out to be big in so many ways. She can handle the ball and see the floor in transition, her pull-up jumper looked good, and she also scored off the dribble, body control after contact was also solid

Nix helped "Set It Off" almost a month ago and gave me a very nice first look see evaluation here, but as I mentioned, she's "long and athletic" with good timing to block shots, yet she added "coming from out of nowhere" a few times to reject. She went AFTA the ball off the rim, another plus you can't teach yet, seeing her take defenders off the dribble, from not only multiple spots but using either hand had me smiling, so did her midrange jumper
