Class 2026 (Coach JVick) Notes Part 1

She brings a strong skill set to the court when she plays. I do like the aggressive play downhill getting paint touches while making good decisions on the score or kickout. A good shooter herself that moves without the ball changing the angle for the kickout. Solid passer in the half-court game that showed a good sense of hitting the backside for easy buckets.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The combo guard played a great role last season as the defensive stopper for her team. I am expecting more scoring this season to go along with that defensive mind set. The high percentage shooter has averaged over 11 points in the last two seasons. During her freshman season Eaton knocked down 5 from deep in a single game. I have seen her score with an outside jumper; mid-range pull up to an offensive rebound put back among the trees. Smooth handles in the open floor with eyes up the court looking to advance the ball with the pass.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Grace brings it to a high level on both ends of the floor. Defensively she knows the game handling ball screens and off the ball defense. Nothing new as you would expect from a Edmond North player. The 6'0 forward looked very comfortable this summer with her new squad. The size and strength she plays with gives her the ability to play the 3 or 4. Great advantage against a smaller guard. The nice mid-range and quickness on the drive makes her a tough matchup against a bigger forward. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Kaukee earned Conference MVP last season while leading her team to Area Finals last season. An outstanding athlete that plays multiple sports at a high level. II do like the versatility that she plays with as I have seen nice footwork in the post area as well. Good passing vision in the half court set as the pass were on point to cutters in the offense. Flip years forward and Ms. Davis is among the top players in the class of 2026. The outside shooting plays in perfect with the aggressive downhill game. Athletic ability shows at the rim and she able to hang just long enough to change the shot avoiding the block.
