ELV8 Super 32 Senior Showcase Top Performers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The city of Tucson recently hosted some of the top seniors in the State of Arizona recently at Pueblo High School, and the action was intense and energetic. There were several college scouts on hand, and the girls were able to display their basketball talents with Showcase Games and an innovative Skill Session that started the day. Lamaiya is the prototype Combo Guard that will play mostly at the 2 position, but she can play point and small forward as well. She is a terrific shooter. She has a very quick release on her shot and can hit 3's consistently from anywhere on the floor. She is outstanding on the drive to the basket as she has several finishing moves that she can go to. She is an excellent defender that is long and can cover multiple positions. She is a big part of two-time State Champion Canyon View's incredible rise to prominence. She is one of the strongest players in the state. She can literally control the paint on both offense and defense. She is versatile on the offensive end being able to finish around the rim in any situation. She can hit the mid range shots and she can create off the dribble. Her defense is outstanding and she is a very good rebounder. She is probably the biggest sleeper in her class in Arizona even though she is the reigning 5A Player of the year. She is a combo guard that that can play multiple positions but is comfortable in the Shooting Guard position. She is an excellent 3 point shooter. She has good range and is comfortable shooting from long distance. She is a terrific defender that can guard forwards or guards and can shut down players for long stretches. She has an excellent basketball IQ and she is a leader on the floor. She is also part of the two-time State Champion Canyon View Jaguars who are looking to three-peat this season. Aaliyah has great size and length for a guard, and she is a shut down defender. She is the current 5A Defensive Player of the Year in Arizona. She is also excellent on the offensive end. She is a terrific ball handler and she can shoot from all 3 levels. She is a prolific scorer, tallying over 2,200 points in her career. She is the current 5A Offensive Player of the Year in Arizona. She is deadly accurate from 3-point range and she can hit from well beyond the arc. She has very good handles and she can create scoring opportunities at will. She is long for a Shooting Guard, so on defense she can give smaller guards fits.
