ELV8 Super 32 Senior Showcase Top Tier Performers

The ELV8 Super 32 Senior Showcase was held on October 3rd, and the amount of talented players from Arizona was incredibly inspiring as Girls Basketball continues to grow across the Nation. These young athletes, 28 in all, showed a very high level of skill and athleticism and the competition was fierce throughout the evening. Here are some of the Top Tier performers at the Showcase.    Azalee Tellez is flat out one of the best long-range shooters in Arizona. She hits consistently from 3 point range, and can hit from corners, top of the key, or free-throw line extended. She is a big factor for Canyon View's back-to-back 5A State Titles in 2024 and 2025. She is a seasoned veteran that can handle the ball under pressure, can play point guard, shooting guard, or small forward. She is a tough defender that can give guards fits because of her experience and toughness. She deserves a lot more attention from college coaches than she is getting. She will definitely play on the next level. Look for Tellez to have a monster season for the Jaguars.     Sade Charles turned in an outstanding Performance at the Showcase. She is the prototype Small Forward in my opinion. She can handle the ball well, she can drive and finish, and she can defend forwards and centers if needed. What stood out to me is her shooting touch. For a player with her size and strength, it is rare to see the kind of offensive skills she possesses. She is also a fierce competitor with a very high motor. I think that she has the ability to play D1 level Basketball if the right opportunity arises. She plays for Powerhouse Xavier Prep, and no doubt she will have her team in the mix for a State Title in 2025/26.     [player_tooltip player_id='892652' first='Destiney' last='Brown'] is still somewhat under the radar and it is perplexing. She always makes an impact whenever she plays because of her incredible athleticism. She is one of the fastest players in the state getting up and down the floor either offensively or defensively. She is long for a shooting guard, and she has the ability to be a shut down defender. Offensively she can score in many different ways. In transition she is extremely efficient finishing on the break. She can create shots for herself off the dribble and she can hit mid range pull-ups. [player_tooltip player_id='892652' first='Destiney' last='Brown'] will definitely play College Basketball, and someone will get a diamond in the rough.     [player_tooltip player_id='608452' first='Bernadette' last='Carranza'] is another player that is flying somewhat under the radar. I have seen her play several times and she is a Top Tier player that has tremendous upside. I see her as a Shooting Guard on the next level. She has excellent form and technique on her jump shot, and she is a 3 level scorer. She does a nice job of positioning herself for open looks and she hits with high efficiency. She is an excellent ball handler, so she can play the point as well and she is terrific at handling the ball in press situations. You can tell that she is the daughter of a coach (Canyon View Head Coach Desirae Carranza), because she displays poise and experience under duress. She is a leader on the floor and she is battle tested having been a part of two consecutive 5A State Championships. Her recruiting is heating up and 2025/26 could be a breakout year for her.     Kalel Palacios had an excellent performance at the Showcase, and she is definitely raising her stock. She is a forward that can play 3 or 4, both offensively and defensively. She is an excellent defensive presence in the paint, and is a solid rebounder. She can defend multiple positions. I loved her competitiveness and energy considering this was a very high level competition and a step up for her. She met the moment. She has a nice offensive game especially inside. She will continue to improve her skills and no doubt be on college recruiting lists as the season gets under way.     Audrey Pacheco is an All 6A Region player that has been increasing her stock through the off-season, and will undoubtedly play on the next level. She is a Small Forward that can play inside or outside. She also has the ability to play Shooting Guard. She has a very nice touch on her jump shot, and can hit mid range shots in traffic. She is tall and long, and can defend in the paint or out on the perimeter. She is a tough physical player that effects a game in many ways. She is a very good ball handler and she is good in transition. She will play on the next level. Look for her to have a huge season in 2025/26     Amaya Woolford is one of the best kept secrets in Southern Arizona. She is flying under the radar right now, and her performance at the Showcase will go a long way at getting her recruiting jump started. She is a Small Forward that can play Shooting Guard. She has a very nice offensive game, showing the ability to score inside and hit from mid range. She is a very good defender and rebounder, and she can guard multiple positions. She is a well conditioned athlete that has a high motor, and she runs the floor very well. She is the consummate "team player" that will do whatever it takes to help her team win. Look for Amaya to have a breakout season for the Bobcats this year.
